Christmas Dinner @B114

Whipped up a feast with dear daddy's help... We had Jamie Oliver's Lemon & potato baked chicken, caesar salad, Hawaiian Pizza (baked at 200deg C), butter cake, sausage, Korean rice cake, and creamy pasta.. Ang moh dinner is really easy peasy...Not much thing to prepare..and still not so oily kitchen.

Now my problem what should I do for upcoming gathering with friends..same dish will be so boring..new dish, I have no confident....*faint*

The Jamie oliver baked chicken is very nice...especially the way to prepare the potato..crispy on outside, tender inside..



 

Xmas Celebrations at CC

Kaylen's Singing Teacher organised a Karaoke session for Xmas Celebration at Cc. She has been attending free singing class at CC every Thursday night with waipo bringing her there..started with crying and now can sing in front of ppl..But she don't know how to smile when sing yet..so a bit weird. hehe Still she is considered good already..cos I confirm cannot talk and sing in front of sooo many ppl...


I admired the teacher who has so much passion to conduct so many free classes in CC, teaching the kids, old folks, Ukelele despite having full time job..












1st Song..chosen by teacher..not so good, maybe have not warm up yet..can't hear what she sing..


2nd song...1 cent..not bad..much louder voice..but the song keep repeating ...

The gal was so happy that she hugged it to sleep last night...












She got huge patience to do all these shoots with us adjusting the camera..and in fact we took another session at night with another set of clothings...but didnt turn out nice...

2012- An Eventful Year

Here's a recount of the small and big little things for our 2012.

Jan

Jared started P1 at our choice of primary school Pei Chun Public and Kaylen started her nursery  classes at TRBK

We had our 1^st appointment for Whampoa B114 just few days before CNY. And After 1^st week of CNY, we officially moved out from Sembawang.

Feb

Jared was having frequent classes of violin practice like up to 3x weekly were spent at Mandenville for Masterclass and Technique class for his grade 2 Exam in March

Mar

Jared took his violin exam, and after the exam we brought him for a relaxing movie treat.

The same week, we had the 2^nd appointment of B114 where we officially gotten the keys

Renovation for Whampoa B114 started almost immediately the following week.

Apr

We got back Jared’s violin exam result, which is pass with merit…Really happy and daddy’s hard work paid off.

We also got him a place at TLL English tuition, as Prof Thanh schedule could not fit in…so we decided to change a teacher..So Paiseh, as prof has worked hard to help Jared with the exam

May

Renovation completed on the 1^st week of May.

We took 2 long weekend holidays to thoroughly clean the whole place..

Found out that our stuff at storage was lost…stress…

Officially moved in B114 without the storage stuff like Fridge, washing machine, study table etc..

June

Did not go for any holidays as all cash was used on the new house

Jared went for his Math & science camp in school

I brought them for Magadascar movie which we all enjoyed so much

July

Surrender to ICA

Aug

Celebrated Kaylen’s birthday in school and was informed that she will be speaking for her class for year end concert..Kam chiong kam chiong..as she is shy by  nature..

Sep

As we did not do much on Jun holidays, so this 1 week holidays was over packed with activities.

1 N D’kranji farm stay with ah yi and grands..where the kids enjoyed so so much…and on Kaylen’s bday we went to Melaka..again the kids had a great time.

Oct

School concert rehearsal 1^st time open for parents to watch..I had a good time snapping pictures and videos. And Kaylen did a good job for MCing the concert

Again on actual concert day, Kaylen did us proud…by speaking nicely.

Nov

Kids kampong trip for Kaylen and daddy where daddy found out that she is super popular, there are 3 boys who like her a lot in her class

Jared had a good result and we were invited for prize giving ceremony in PCPS..So proud of Jared ‘s hardwork..Hope this continues!

We have another new didi (my new nephew, kids's new cousin) –baby Reagan joining the family who’s bday is just 3 days away from Jared’s.

Road trip to Legoland..for Jared’s 7^th birthday..So glad that we took the time off to have full day of fun with the kids.

Dec

We went for a family of 4 trip to HK..it has been really long we had not being doing the small family trip since Tokyo ’09 trip. It was a much relaxing trip for me as I only had the kids  tummy to worry about instead of all the family members big and small’s tummy. Although there were times when I blew up, when Jared complained too cold, too tired and wanna play phone games instead of watch out for new things in the trip…there were many many more happy and exciting moments..for eg. this is probaly the 1st time Kaylen knew that it's winter times..though she had experienced many times, but were much younger..

Seeing how much they enjoy the hotel stay with junks overdose each time..and finally the excitement of us all meeting Disney characters..hugging and kissing them…and the beautiful fireworks up close….So tiring to lug them along every trip..but it was a trip the adult and kids deserved for the hardwork we put up in 2012.

As usual, cheap and good presentation $109 from Pine garden...I won't say the taste is perfect..we had top layer strawberry  and bottom lychee...Didn't like the lychee taste

Officially toothless -Jared 7yr 3 wks

13-Dec 2012 Thursday

I had finally booked an appoinment with the school at 2.30pm today for him to go for the extraction of his front tooth..as it's FREE!...this is the biggest advantage going to primary school.

He's 1st filling cost almost 200..and subsequent 5-7 fillings almost cost 500-600...as he had early decay from 2.5yr old. As I was being kiasu, so I brought him to fix it as young as 3yr old...and Guess what? He is the last in class who maintain baby tooth even though with lotsa of decays..

Finally its 1 tooth out.but his mood wasn't very good...refused to do anything..and don't dare to laugh or talk freely..hehe.

So I wasn't able to take a pic of his toothless pic yet. hehe




Edited 15-Dec Sat..finally managed to captured the bogeh look. The tooth which was extracted has severe decay..in fact there's still a few more with severe decay which still intact.

Fireworks-We catch his 2 days concecutively..still being wowed by it.

The latest can go chop seat is 8.15pm for the 9pm fireworks. and The best seat is nearer at the middle of castle at the load nearer to the park..never sit at the 1st row nearest to the castle with the ropes...cannot catch the full views.

We are that good and that familiar with HK disneyland..hehehe

HK 2-8 Dec 2012 Day 7 [Character breakfast and going home]

Check out from Hollywood Hotel -> Disneyland Hotel -> Character Breakfast -> Airport Express -> Singapore

We purposely checked out early from hollywood hotel so that we can have ample time in Disneyland hotel.


Our 1st time at Disneyland hotel...it is now much popular than hollywood hotel...like 80 per cent of ppl will stay there despite the higher price.


Jared had a good time exploring and resolved the maze


Very beautiful place...I must try to stay there next time if we were to visit Hk again.

The character breakfast at Enchancted Garden Restaurant...HKD278 A, 158 C +10% Service charge
Total: HKD959.2 (close to SGD150)..heart pain..but the feeling was really good and magical with the characters visiting your table while dining..

Food selection are good but timing is short 9:30am to 11am only..plus we hv flight to catch..so cannot stay longer either.

Kids were so hungry trying to dong till breakfast appt time at 9:30am heh

Kaylen kept telling me she managed to finish her ham...She had only 1 glass of apple juice, 1 piece of ham, 1 sausage..and thats it..it cost me $25 for her meal

and finally before we leave the hotel..we bump into Cinderella..who was so nice to chat with Kaylen..but she was so nervous as I forced her to take pic alone with her..She refused. But when it was our turn, Cinderella asked to take with her 1st before family

Back at MTR station ...this time round Kaylen did not cry..she has definitely grown up..She did not ask for any soft toy to lug back home as she had Mickey from last trip and a big minnie..I got her a minnie water bottle instead.
