Just a while ago, mum showed me that Jared finally could crawl forward. We've been waiting for this moment for ages, and had tried numerous method...including setting a target toy, give jared a push from behind..everything fails!! He finally cannot resist the temptations of lights!! haha...(He has never fail to look at lights since birth, and till now still have a passion on all light bulbs be it in the day time, or night)
Mum made the room dark, tempted Jared with the lights from torch light...he tried so hard to follow the lights..It's so fun seeing him doing that... We felt that ever since he's able to sit up from crawling position, he has been a happier baby. So sure Jared will love the new skill he has aquired.
Hope tomorrow there'll be more progress.
Although ppl mentioned that some babbies will skip the crawl stage and go directy to the walking stage, daddy & me really don't wanna miss anything...and would like to enjoy the fun of crawling together and catching up with Jared.

Healthy Baby Competition
On Sunday 20 Aug, we brought Jared to Whampoa CC to take part in the Healthy Baby Competition. There was so many babies around. Unfortunately we had to wait so long almost 1hr+ before Jared can be examined by doctor. Just before our turn, Jared finally fall asleep..haha..so got to go back to the breast feeding room to let him rest for another half an hour before we finally see the examiner.
Just some simple task, the examiner try to attract's Jared's attention by using a rattle and check if he could crawl etc. When come to breastfeeding part, the examiner asked me to squeeze some milk to prove that I'm still bf Jared. aiyo...
The result final annouced at 12pm...Jared didn't win anything..but in our heart he is always the prettiest and healthy baby..heheh..
He fall asleep during the result announcement part and continue to sleep a while when we reach home before taking his lunch.
Summary of the day prepared by Ah Yi
A small milestone of Jared at that nite: He could recognise the word "tiger" !!!!. In a several attempt that we asked him to choose tiger from 2 cards..he always choose the correct card.
21 Aug: I saw Jared could go to sitting position from crawl position.
He has been attempting this very very hard, even though most of time he might fall and ended up a big cry. hehe. Hope Jared could crawl soon.

Jared is 9 mth old!
Today daddy left home for Austin,USA at 3.30am this morning and brought along the camera, so no pic of Jared at exactly 9 mth old. Jared has been paaa paa for the past few days, maybe he sense that he won't be able to see daddy for some times? in about 2 wks time 1 Sept, I'll be joining daddy in San Francisco too. I'm gonna miss Jared a lot a lot!!
Some pics of our activities over the past 2 weeks. Brought Jared to the esplanade on 5 Aug. That day was very hot, and Jared fall asleep on the stroller, so he didn't get to see the Merlion/durian. Recently, ah yi also bought a dog to encourage Jared to crawl. Unfortunately, Jared hates the dog! Everytime will cry when see the dog moving forward to his direction..haha
Ever since daddy thought Jared to push the stroller, it has been his favourite act so far..can keep him occupy for a long time at shopping malls, while I shop hehe.

Family photoshoot with Foto U-Aug 6
Today we went to Foto-U's benjamin to take our family photo, Jared is about 8.5mth as of today. The schedule for the photoshoot was set at 3.30pm-4.30pm. When we reached, there was another couple taking maternity shoots, so while waiting, they help to put on my make up....Unfortunately the photoshoot schedule coincide with Jared's sleeping time...He became grouchy after the first few single shots. So most of our family portrait Jared either cry or no much facial expression. Luckily there were still some shots that turn out nice. Hopefully we can go there to take more photos when Jared's attention span improves.
