4 more days to ending single parenthood...YEH

Amazing things I have done:
1) Brought Jared & Kaylen to do new passport and change pics
Of cos my dad was the chauffer and mum was with me..and I gotten daddy to prepare all the documentation ready before he left..
Then again, its definitely still very stressful to be at Msian embassy.
And during collection, Jared was tired, he almost made me carry him all the way from bus stop to embassy

2) Bring kids to doctor when they sick
When Jared had that stomach flu, he vomitted 3x at night, and 2x in the morning...I had to carry him all the way to Sunplaza to see doctor, and carry him back..and mop the floor, change bedsheet, so so many times..But I'm smart, i brought back the blanket for mum to wash..hehe..

3) Jared's main teacher
I'm in charge of teaching him writing, violin, reading, jumbo book ...
I'm just so proud how much he has improved in violin, reading as compared to before daddy left

4) Bring Jared to dentist
Yes, he has finally step into dentist clinic again...and he is now a brave boy that everyone is proud of!

5) Bring both to Genting
Trip With parents, taipo, my sis & hb and sis mil..
I would bring Jared to outdoor theme park from 9.30am to 2pm, and continue to bring Kaylen from 4pm-6pm..and 9pm bring Jared again till 11pm...
I didnt get ticket for Kaylen, and I couldnt cope bringing both together, so I had to take turn to bring them around..and they were amazing, extraordinary behaved and listen to instructions. only when got too tired, need to be carried.

After daddy got back, first thing I'm gonna unload is VIOLIN...and catch up more time with Kaylen..also face mask..heh..

I think this is the darkest it will get..cos all the skin has dried up and getting ready to fall off.

Our Weekend

This wk I had them both back with me again at Sembawang..after dim sum lunch at Hong xin, my dad sent us back.

It was much easier compared to the last time..cos Kaylen is more outgoing yearn to go out more often..

after we got back, I brought them for grocery shopping...how? first, ensure that Jared wasn't tired or sleepy...so that he won't asked me to carry him home mid way..
Then bring along the shopping basket..so that Jared got something to do all the time and not kacau Kaylen.

and since Kaylen don't mind sitting inside, Jared pushed her all the way to NTUC. and invited lots of stares along the way..hehe.

When we come home, I got Jared to push the groceries while I carry Kaylen...They did made some noise..like Kaylen wanted to buy tic tac, Jared dun allow..she will cry so loud..
But overall was ok too.

I didn't force them to take nap..so it was not bad at all..some mess during dinner...and finally Kaylen fall asleep at 10pm..Jared slightly after that cos he was playing game with daddy on skype...

Dinner for them is always sumptous..

1) Steam codfish
2) Double boil chicken with kei ci & fishball(added purely cos they like it)
3) Stir fry capcicum

Lunch the next day is the same fish and chicken, capcicum but rice changed to black noodles. Also got back potato chips for them which they enjoyed most.. Capcicum they refused to eat, so its eaten by me.

Mum came to pick us up..we took the train to J8, Bishan for dinner at Yoshinaya..not bad..the food suited Jared..he loves fried ebi...

Kaylen wore the dress given by June..the dress look so big, but she can wear it so fast.

Day 2 still looking good for work..
The smaller dots are turning black..and scalp has come out.
The major part are still reddish...probaly might not come out till weekend..

Suddenly hook on buying make up and putting on make up..

Though I only get to put on make up on weekend, I enjoyed it so much..
I will put it on before bringing Jared to violin, reach home removed it, then put on again before we go out for dinner on Saturday.
For Sun, I'll put on before we go back to Whampoa..

I got the make up mostly from NYX gmarket seller..price is reasonable for pretty good quality makeup

A birthday gift to myself.
All along I have super big problem finding my glasses.
Even mum encourage me to go lasik


I'm waiting for these long for lasik cos I need to wait for my thyroid condition to stabilise..as thyroid is often related to eye disease(watery, enlarge eyes)...that's what I read..and that's what advise by endocrine.

As part of my yearly retreat, I get to do once rebonding, and I always do it in Aug since last yr..to get ready for Kaylen's bday party in Sept, Jared's bday in Nov, and my bday in Dec..and finally CNY..hehe.

Update on Jared 4 yr 9mth

Abacus
Just yesterday 10Aug10, he heard teacher's comment from Shao qi's mum. Teacher advise Shao Qi to jia you and work hard to remember the formula, cos Xiang yi is v. v. good with formula...and if not she will be the last in class..

After Jared heard the comment, he got so happy...and start telling everybody he is no. 1..hehe He has also been promoted to little teacher in class, and helping some other children with the sums...and as a result, he will be given lotsa of sweets and biscuit at the end of class by the teacher...and he would complain, sooo tiring to teach other kids..hehe.
He is able to complete like 60-80sums in class now..and left remaining 40-60sums to be completed at remaining of the wk.


The formula sheet which they are supposed to memorise, surprisingly he knew it by heart, not necessary to memorise.

-> Currently we are at mid of 6b
-> Took us longest time like close to 1mth to complete 6a, as he could not finish 5 page every night now, due to so many words in each page and he don't take noon nap and causing him to be really tired at night

My current problem with him is
1) how to make him memorise the spelling and able to write out the words or sentence on his own. He has no problem with school spelling, but when it comes to memorise other words spelling, it seemed so difficult. The only sentence he can write now is
I love you daddy
I love you mummy
Actually he wanted to write I don't love you mummy, but don't seemed so difficult, so he gave up hehe.

2) Decoding new words
He has stop trying to decode new words for sometimes...previously he is very willing to try, but lately he just simply surrender.

Then again, I'm really really happy with his ability to read now...We've started going to library weekly...and just a while I ago, I managed to borrow 2 very good book. Roald dalh's The enormous crocodile, which I have to read to him and The tooth fairy, which he could read some page to me..(but mainly lazy)..

I hope this good habits will continue...but I'm really thinking time is too short now..

He can write really fast now so that he can have enough time for iphone..thats the only reward he needed.
