Its very diff to take their pic together..almost impossible nowadays with Jared snatching our camera the moment we take it out...

But 1 night they decided to sit together and sing songs...hehe

Can have good comparison between them like this...Most ppl will say Jared's feature are nicer than Kaylen

Kaylen is 7 month

-> Feeding
Only want and can drink milk when sleepy...when wide awake, she will ahhhh all the way if you try to insert bottle into her mouth...and If i try to latch her, she'll bite me even though she don't have teeth yet!

Drinks about 4oz of milk each time, never increase more than this

-> Physical
Can sit unsupport quite well now
Can crawl forward now...but slow...
First raise her butt super high...then leap like a frog, to move forward.
Trying to learn to sit from lying down, but still not successful yet.

-> Speech
I think much better than Jared at the same time...

-> Solid intake
*headache*
Seemed to be allergy to peas, and egg yolk.
I spent much effort to prepare fresh peas for her, open up the pod, and take out the peas. WIth 1 pack of fresh beans, i can only get 3 small cube of peas..Then when she take 1 cube...start rashes all over ...

Egg yolk too..but gonna try again in 1-2wks time.
She get choke with smallest grain...everything for her must be soft and smooth..if not she will merlion..I tend to get a bit phobia feeding her...The best food is probaly rice cereal+ breastmilk. Then only it is smooth enough for her.
She don't like having apple/pear puree on its own, I guess too sweet..can see from her face expression.

-> Weight & height
~8kg...not much gain from 6mth old ...Becos she fall sick and had to see doc at 6mth 3wk old.
She's doing better than Jared, Jared first see doc was at 6mth old.
Shortie, ~64cm only...wonder if my milk lack of calcium?

I just realised Kaylen would smile to the camera everytime we try to snap a pic for her...so cute!

2wks in new school

I think Jared enjoyed the school..it wasn't so hard to wake him up in the morning anymore..he is sleeping earlier about 10.30pm..compare to 11/12am last time..Like to take school bus very much...

The old pap school..I can't stop complaining... The other day we bump into teacher Jay, I was asking Jared to go up and greet the teacher...wah, the teacher saw him, fast fast enter the classroom, and close the door...Aiyo!..real jia lat..

Jared has phobia over the toilet bowl in the pap school, so during bad times, one wk he would pee on his pants for 3 days...my mum went to check once, the toilet bowl stuck, and its too big for him..and most of all teacher don't bother to ask if he need to pee. And pee nevermind, lin lao shi don't even want to change his pants..so he would soak in wet pants, and wet socks and wet shoes till go home..How can???... Haiz...

I think I haven't finish complaining...

The new school...Jared is found to change new attire, even if he just eat messily and dirty some spots of his uniform,...hehe..Once he wet slightly the underwear also got changed. When we went to the school to spot check on the 2nd wk, bump into Mrs Chai, so I asked her how was Jared? She told me , he is ready to join in and do the work now.

Once Jared asked her, No window? (at the hall)...So she went to showed him there's window just that it was covered by the curtain to prevent bright light from coming in. Since then, Jared had never cry again in hall. He's able to put his school bag and water bottle in front of classroom after getting down from bus now.

We were really happy to see it. Although he still look blur all time in school..hehe They would bring them to pee once coming down from assembly, before going home, after arts and craft session. All of them go together..which is very good right? Cultivate the habbit.

Most of all, the school fees are really affordable..$600 for 10 wk...together with the school bus, we pay $300 per mth..for rest of mind..Why not?

Back dated posting for 1 Mar 09

Kaylen started pure rice cereal at 5.5mth, and at exactly 6mth old I let her tasted her first home made apple purree..She hates it when eating apple puree on its own, I guessed its too sweet for her..but if its added with potato+rice cereal she's fine.

Initialy when Jared saw her eating, he would ask for for some to taste....once, he asked to have her pumpkin puree..and eat until like very tasty like that..heheh..

But now after seeing her eating for so long, Jared is no longer interested in her food.

Lagging behind post...The whole of March

I didn't made as many posting in the whole of March as much as the stuff we did...though I would love to keep all the memories...

I'm still lagging behind postings for Kaylen's finals contest pic, our Singapore flyer ride, and we went back to Ritz calton again...also our March zoo trip, and science centre trip...aiyo...so many..

The only thing I'm up to date is Jared's new school experience...hehe

3rd Day and 4th Day in TRBK

3rd day: All on his own
- My heart was stomping so hard from the moment he got into school bus at 7.20am to 11.40am till I heard he safely got home again.
-He told waipo he cried because it's his first time in school
-He fall asleep in bus on the way home -Since he had nap in the bus already, he could not take any more nap in the noon, so he fall asleep at 7pm+ again till next morning, so I didn't have a chance to talk to him over school

4th day: Fear
-Finally I managed to talk to him while bringing him to wait for school bus. -He was so scared of need to assembly in the hall at level 2.
-I told him aunty say mummy need to pay if I want to take the school bus, so I'll meet him in school
-Daddy and me went to his school and since it was early we manage to talk to the teachers over his performance the day before

-We were told that he was temperemental in class. He snatch another kid's pencil, while another gal give her another pencil, he got angry. And refused to do the work in the chinese class -When he came over to English class, again he told Mrs Chai " I don't want to sit, I want to stand" and refused to join in handicraft time. But later on noticed that the rest were having so much fun pasting the egg shell to letter E, only then he started joining.
-I told the teacher over his fear of having to go to hall, teacher promised to guide him along.. -

Then Jared 's school bus reached school, saw Aunty had to hold his hand and pass him to teacher before leaving..hehe..He disappeared in sight for a while before we finally see him crying at hall at level 2..hehe...But Mrs Chai was with him all the time.

-We had to leave the school by now, cos it's almost 8am!..and i'm 20mins late for work..But my heart felt better...hehe..This is the first time I got so involved with his school, checking him up with teachers and bringing him there for so many days. hee..

So many worries

Tomorrow it will be Jared's 1st time taking school bus and school trip...I've been like a long tounge lady repeating and repeating the sequence of even to him.

1) Aunty said mummy cannot take the school bus anymore, so you had to go to school on your own.

2) When you reach school, show your hands to Mrs Chan, after that go to your class and put your bag, and then go to the toilet to wash your hands.

3) Then get a teacher to bring you up to the hall.

4) Then you sit by the blue line.

I wonder how much he absorbed. I wish I could be there to peep him to do all of these sequence correctly before I go to work..But daddy said, no worries, there will certainly be ppl notice him if he wondering around...

Also, Now I realised how bad it is to let him study in the big school. His classroom and the toilet, and the location to let teacher check his hands are all over. How could we expect a 3yr old to be able to find his way..and finally go to the 2nd level hall???

2nd day @ TRBK

First day he nap 20mins in school bus, so when he reached home he was all energised..and refused to take afternoon nap. So he slept very early at nite 7pm+. So waking up for 2nd day wasn't difficult..he also ask me to accompany him to school.

When the school bus came, aunty make him sit with another kid..so I had to sit behind...He was like totally forgot about me....hehe

As usual after put bag and wash hands, they have to gather at the hall, at level 2, while waiting for rest of kids to arrive.

Jared told Mrs Patrick he need to pee, when she came back, She told me he is very well toilet trained. He even asked her is this(pointing to toilet bowl) small enough for me? Mrs Patrick is very glad that no help needed for him. But I told her, at hm he need to be help all the time...hee

Later, suddenly he cried aloud wanting to go back to classroom...Chinese teacher helped to pacify him by putting him on her lap..after sometime he was fine..and I left the hall before him.

Cos the day before when getting fr hall to classroom, he kept asking for me..So I would like to see if he can cope without me..Glad that he was alright throughout, even breakie time...

He ate and self fed very well...Most of the kiddos doesn't seemed to particularly like the food...I hardly see them eat actually. But doing the prayer with the hand gesture is still like alien to him..hehe..

He is much happier in this school, the teacher are loving and caring also. Another mummy told me that she sent the kid all the way from Bishan cos of the bigger compound, lively environment...I had to agree...

Even more better that it's open concept..so from some distance apart, I could peep at Jared, yet because of the gate make us adult not that noticeable.

I made Jared quit fr the PAP school becos both Lin lao shi and teacher jay are absolutely no patience and not loving at all, I always heard lin lao shi yell at the students. She would even complained that Jared is walking around the class ..which I think is pretty normal for active boys, as long as doesnt happen everyday.

Today even the school ride is slightly better for both of us..I hope tomorrow onwards, when Jared is on his own..He would still be able to handle everything..

Jared's new school

Jared started his new school today in the 2nd term at Thomson Road Baptist Kindergarden, its beside united square. But this time he had to take the school bus to school..

Now everyone had to adjust the clock 15mins earlier including Kaylen..I had to feed Kaylen slightly earlier, and all ready at the bus stop by 7.15am. The school bus turn and turn around Whampoa, Balestier, TTSH..finally arrive at school around 7.45am...By then I already giddy.

Every morning the will go up to the hall to assemble follow by church song...and today I even saw ex-celeb, He yong fang bringing her daughter there.




Jared had 2 serving of bread...the only one who ate so much!


The school compound...much bigger than his previous one...he got so happy when knock off...
Fall asleep on the bus immediately after got on...Then got frighten and keep crying when he knock something...and said don't want to go school anymore..hehe..

When we got home, I shared with my worries when he was cutting out the elephant all by himself, that he might cut the trunk. Then he continued to tell me, some one cut the nose..and the teacher said "Why you cut away the nose?"...and after that we all burst into laughter...

Baby Idol Contest-Final clips

Kaylen is 6month old!

-Eating & feeding
On 2 meals of rice cereal+puree. Loves water and cereal much more than milk. She likes to be seated on the high chair, it meant meal time for her...glutton gal! Jared last time even now can't sit still on high chair...simply cos he dun like eating.

-Physical development
Flipping on 1 side all the time, and can crawl backwards. Make me phobia of leaving her on bed. Sit unsupported for 10s for good days. In term of physical development she is so much more advance than koko. Koko can only do push up at 7-8mth and crawl backwards at 9mth.

Had her first fall on 19Mar09, 6mth 2wk old....I latch her on my parent's bed, and she manage to fall asleep at 8pm which she normally don't..And I was happily playing with Jared & watching tv in the living room...Then we heard a loud cry, when mum rush into the room, can't find Kaylen, later on she found her on the floor..hehehe...Lucky head on another mattress...She was alright, when she mum found her she has stop crying..hehe..

-Verbal
Very noisy when she "talk", yelling loud all the time -Relationship with koko poor gal being no. 2, the naughty koko would use toy airplane to hit her head....and she no feeling, no cry or anything..

When koko trying to disturb her, flip her over, she would smile happily thinking koko is playing with her...

Know how to fight toy with koko now...wah...Jared was playing a toy train that move with battery, after a few round letting the train move to Kaylen,she was angry when Jared took the toy train all on his own...So she yell & cry...and each time if Jared let her play, she's happy..hehe Must be a notti and more fierce gal next time..

-Weight 5mth: 7.3kg 65cm
6mth: 8kg 63.5cm (Her height up and down from mth to mth, wonder what's wrong..hah)

Interesting Conversation with Jared @ 3yr 4mth

Situation 1
It's mummy fav show time, Perfect Cut,..Thomas Wang, Wang tien chai...is just so handsome..and he is our neighbour too!.. So I got so engrossed watching and watching till Jared yell

Jared: Mummy, I want to pee pee, mummy pee pee pls...Mummyyyyyy...... pee pee pls
Me: sorry sorry sorry..

I'm glad he is saying pls at least..


Situation 2
My mum added thaw frozen breastmilk to Jared's milk

Jared: Waipo zhe shi xin de nai fen ma? Bu hao hei4, mai3 jiu de nai fen (Is this new fm? Not nice, next time pls buy old brand)

Situation 3

Jared going to start new school after the school holidays. He said he don't want to go new school , want to back to the pre-nursery at Blk 85, because Wo3 you3 yi4 dian3 pa4 (I'm a bit scared!..no one would believe this little kiddo think so much about the new school)

Situation 4
We are on the way back to Sembawang, listening to Jared's cd collection content songs and music. But lately he likely to listed to songs more.

So when the song cd finish, and music cd started...

Jared: Did I say I want to listen to music?

Situation 5
I was reading the rainbow fish book to Jared while carrying Kaylen on the sofa. But sofa turn grouchy, so I had to stand up to pacify Kaylen

Jared: Mummy, don't go away. I want to read books.

Situation 6

Daddy: No, you haven't clean up the mess
Jared: Don't worry daddy, I'm keeping

Angry and angry and more more angry

I submited Kaylen's pic for Sean Lau's photography which they will be shooting for an adverstisement.

And just got a call that she got short listed!

But but...they looking for baby who can crawl!!....Kaylen still can't ...arrrghhhh

So i told them if you want to look for baby who can crawl steadily, pls find those 9mth! arrrghhh...Kaylen can't even sit on her own steadily yet...

Another thing, I'm flattered!..It looks like every contest they we try to submit her pic in, she will get to be short listed...hehe.. The lady who called also say she very very cute...and she would put her in profile in case next time ppl look for baby model again!...

Ok, she normally don't look as good as this pic...hehe..I cheated a bit to send in the best pic hehehe..and lately she's getting a little too fat to look good also..Haiz..

The day where everything is wrong...The Finals 1 Mar 2009..

The day started with Jared & me taking daddy's car on the way to Sembawang...We didn't get to go back for the weekend, because daddy is extremely bz. So I took Jared back with me since the camera battery need to re-charge, no matter what, I had to go back Sembawang..

I brought him to NTUC to get the Gain Kid offer with the voucher, but one of it expire!...I even bought together a shopping trolley..but now I'm only buying 2 tin of 900g gain kid instead of 3. I still go ahead to get the trolley, since Jared had a good time pushing the trolley...hehe...I didn't have to touch it, he push them all the way home.

Then at home, he asked for some drinks, so I let him have the meiji strawberry milk...to my dismay he pour it every where on the floor...So I had to clean up the floor... After his lunch, we left for Whampoa.

We had to take the MRT ourselves, it's probaly the 1st time ever i brought Jared out alone for such long train ride...Guess what? nobody give out seat to us despite Jared said loudly he wanted to sit!...He requested me to carry him on some part of journey...and his 15kg weight is really not an easy task...

Finally when we got a seat at Bishan, he fall asleep...My god, it's even big trouble now..I was carrying my pump, cooler bag with ice brick, a new 900g Gain kid, and my own bag...PLUS now a 15kg Jared...hehehe...

So I position myself properly way before train reached TPY...carry him with me, together with 2 other bag,leave the MRT, and tap my EZlink and heads to take bus 139. Luckily I could get a seat, and quickly call my mum to come to bus stop to wait for us...

Then everything was fine till super big rain with super big thunder...daddy came back to pick us to expo. I got shock how nice each contestant are in the finals...then after a long wait finally the contest starts. When we are at the backstage, Kaylen keep crying non stop..and she was the only contestant who cry..the rest were they happily and smiling all the time...

I had to call daddy to bring us water..and while she drinks she even close her eyes wanting to sleep...At the same time I also noticed her dress's stictches came off!!..It's such a big mess now...

So when it's time to go out on stage..I talk rubbish, and Kaylen bo sim keep looking at the table instead of judges... Arggghhh..

My mood was really bad at that time, I'm angry with daddy who's able to make her smile refuse to go up stage, and prepare script for me to say, yet don't want to say himself...Angry plus more angry.. Anyway, even we do our best, we won win the contest...Cos the judge by chubbiest cheek only..And not overall balance and pretty looking...

The good thing was we weren't the 1st to be called out during consolation prize annoucement..hehehe...Quite dissapointed with the prize though, it just some Gaia samples + 1 teether...worst than their early bird goodie bag...

We are in finals!

After the contest, all of us felt good...and almost quite sure we were get into finals...but it was a long wait for the call...hehe..

At 7.25pm finally my mobile rang...sianz...It was my boss, asking me to take note of things throughout weekend....Then 5mins later the phone rang again!...Now it's the contest staff call me...


I got really happy! Jumping around..calling daddy and my sis to inform them the good news..

Then after we busy letting Kaylen try her final contest dress...hehee...

The Baby Idol contest..Semifinal

Daddy has to work, so we took a cab to expo..It was so messy day, I went to pick up Jared from school and he got dissapointed when he see it's no waipo, so keep crying..I had to force carry him home. hehe...then refuse to take lunch, and insist of take milk only..

That's when I realised it's already 11.30am, Kaylen's hair still all standing up..messy messy, quickly wet them again and comb properly..But we still arrived early around 12.15pm ...The contest is at 1.30pm, gathering behind the stage at 1pm.

Kaylen is still so cute ah, even her hanky hide her face a little. As for Jared it's so hard to take proper pics of him nowadays..keep giving faces..

Kaylen didn't have enough sleep, almost when contest starts, she couldn't even hold herself straight keep leaning on me...make me so worried..Then mum suggested i hold her facing front, let her head rest on me..

Then when we were queing behind stage waiting for our turn to go up on stage, she started crying a little..wah...more kam cheong now...hehe..

Luckily when up on stage she's fine..there's even ppl cheering for her..

Chubby Enuff???

Daddy thk she won't be able to proceed to finals! Cos she is not chubby at all! But I thk she is looking much prettier these days, with the little cheek tat's not the chubbiest...yet just nice size..and with her hair longer.. hehehe...

The weekend Ritz Calton Hotel stay...

Phew~~..lucky the stay wasn't too bad..But it was not an easy one with a baby tagging along...So much packing, so much crying, so much luggage...till daddy and me were quarreling ..and angry with ourselves to get the hotel stay..So much hassle for just 1 day stay..

Everything changes the moment we step into the room, ...The view just soooo impressive...the room is so big and nice! The bath tub and its view..and can only say..Wowow...

We took the double room with 2 super single bed, each sleep with each kid...

Nice sofa with view of Nicoll Highway...and slight view of Singapore flyer

Jared in room feeling hungry..and had to eat poky..before wait for my mum to send dinner..while daddy and me indulge at Greenhouse..hehe...

Swimming at the hotel pool...Kaylen's first dip!..She didn't like it, keep crying as she was already sleepy..so we take turn to carry her sleeping..Jared had so much fun swimming though!

Jared dip in the bath tub while Kaylen used their sink to bath..It's even big enuff to fit Kaylen!

She's in!

I'm soooo nervous now!!

She's in the semifinal of chubbiest cheek baby contest by mediacorp!

Oh yes!!!!.

Hehehe...

The story goes like this, I saw the contest form from i weekly magazine for continous few weeks..Was keep fan-ing that Kaylen don't have a studio pic to submit...and finally I still show my mum the contest form...on the day I took AM leave to bring Jared to his new school for enrollment...

But when we were back from school, I got so tired and need to rush back to work...I told my mum i lazy to submit when she reminded me again..Told her to forget about it.
When I'm back from work, mum told me my sis had help to send. (My sis is absolutely supportive for all kind of lucky draw ever since she won a pair of brilliant rose wedding band worth 5k from mag contest!, That's explain why she is so on to help..hehe)

After submission..deep in my heart ..I was still hoping Kaylen have chance..hehe..

And finally while I was in meeting...I RECEIVED that call!!!...

*Now I'm fan-ing what can I wear to go to the contest!..Note: not Kaylen it's ME!!..So fat, pai seh lerrrrr...*

p/s I wouldn't thought of any contest for the kids ever since Jared's healthy baby contest at Whampoa CC...It was such bad experience, cos it's so hot, so many ppl and wait too long...and finally he fell asleep before seeing judges..It's enough of embarassment....

But this round during CNY, Irene's hb Chris asked me when I'm gonna bring her for contest..said she is sooo cute, so pretty..That's how the encouragement comes..Hah!

The Contest: 27 Feb 1.30-2.30pm..Singapore Expo

Happy Birthday to Waigong!

We celebrated my dad's birthday earlier this year on V-day at Paramount restaurant @ Paramount hotel..


Kaylen's first time sitting on high chair..

- She LOVEs me..!!!
Hehe, especially night time, she would cry and cry just for me to carry..Just before CNY, when gong gong and mah mah came over our place, we left her at home while we brought Jared to have breakfast at Sun Plaza. They had to call us to come back immediately cos Kaylen cried non stop..Once I took over her she would be good..hehe..But the "love" is getting lesser and lesser everyday with me coming back late from work..

-Still Breastfeeding..and another 7month to go!
She still drinking ~3oz to 3.5oz 3hourly, very little, and I thk she has stop keep on growing fat..she probaly maintained the same weight as last mth...

-Physical achievement
Not very good, still have no intention to flip yet...but can turn side way when angry..hehe...Can hold bottle when really hungry.. Put everything she grabs, into the mouth (Jared wasn't like tat)

-Relationship with korkor
As far as Jared still loves to bully her, yet her love for korkor never reduce....She enjoyed looking at korkor and will calm down when see korkor.

-Her hair
No sign of dropping

-Sleeping
Still sleep through, and becoming easier to handle at night...at most 11pm she would knock off...She could stay awake from 3pm to 11pm..steady loh..Jared last time awake 1hr sleep next hour...don't have much energy

Happy CNY 2009- 4th day, Hung's farewell

Kee Hung-daddy's bro..came back from Australia..this year he helped out a lot in the kitchen...most dishes were contributed by him,..and all the washing hehehe..

Kaylen dressed in t-shirt and jeans...It's 6-12month clothes from FOX, and she not even 5 mth already can wear with tight fitting..*mummy headache* Jared 6-12mth clothes from FOX can wear til 2 yr old..

Happy CNY 2009!

Every year if CNY celebrates with Daddy's family, we would wake up to have mee suah with egg..Then bath, and change to new clothes..and followed by a series of effort trying to take as many nice pics at home as possible hehe..



Even without the kids, taking pics on 1st day of CNY is their culture..

This year as Jared grown bigger it's so hard to take pic with him...He wanted to be the one take pic for us instead...to be the one press the camera button when we set up tripod..and want to run like us after press timer...

He has even grown smarter to estimate when the camera is gonna take the pic, then at the last second he would turn away!!..

As for Kaylen, she's like the gem of the family, each day change so many outfit..and everyone come and complement how cute she is..hehe..

The most strange thing is in a pic, if Kaylen is ready..Jared sure not ready...it's hard to take the pic of both them ready and nice..


This year, Jared and daddy wear the same red Polo ralph polo...The clothes were bought Sept06...2yr+ ago when daddy go US..finally the could wear the same thing on CNY!..But just before wearing we realised it's different red! hehe..

Happy CNY 2009- Reunion Lunch

We had the reunion lunch at Sembawang around 3pm...This year we contributed 3 dish...but only 1 dish everyone like..that's the curry made from premix :( Jingdu pork rib, over cook so the meat is quite tough, though the sauce is nice..for this dish I research so long yet turn out failure..kek sim

4mth 2 wk, look so chubby..she's only6.8kg when do check up at 4 month..and drink only 3oz of milk 3 hourly..But she is already doing better than Jared who drank only 2oz all the way till 6-7mth

My new hair cut for the new year

I couldn't even remember when was the last time I cut short my hair, probaly more than 10 years ago..This is not very short, but short enough for daddy ...hehe..

When ppl get old..always hoping at least hair will help to keep me younger hehe...

Hope tomorrow after wash still look as good..
