Hokkaido 2017: Day 13 (19-Dec-2017)

On our final day in Hokkaido, we still get quite a bit of snow while waiting for the airport bus..Flight was at 5pm..but we took the 10.15am airport bus..We could dress down quite abit after getting used to Hokkaido weather

we still find it super rush ..cos the airport had way to many shopping to do , and food to eat..

Echigen Ramen-Shrimp base ramen, the most famous ramen in airport..but we didn't like the prawn taste

Overall, it's the best place for snow encounter..for the 1st time in my life, I had continuous snow fall 90% of the trip!...The snow was so powdery..and came effortless..unlike how hard I had to bump into Snow during my Europe trip during honeymoon...it was 1 day only out of the 3 wks I spent in Europe...

Hi tea 2018

Usually we will go hi tea once a year..but last year, we didnt get to do it somehow...and to our surprise our favourite hi tea spot House at Dempsey is closing down soon.

So we had no choice to try out a more ex new place , the landing point.


Damage $96 and need to park at Esplanade to save parking fee..

All items are refillable..taste wise, House is much better and cheaper, most of all free parking..

Day 1 of school, we pack Jared for a 3D2N school camp...during these days we had zero information of him..till the 3rd day when we pick him up..saw that he had a big bad fall.

Hokkaido 2017: Day 12 (18-Dec-2017)

Today is an empty day...I was totally regret that I didn't be more daring and included road trip to Asahikawa for the penguin walk, cos above Furano, there sure to be lots of snow.  So we had a hard time deciding what to do today.

Finally we chose the chair lift experience for everyone..at Okurama Ski Jump Stadium..neither did we know that the walk from the bus stop was like 15min..and when this translated to our group..it was literary a 45min walk..

Halfway, some wanna gave up..but luckily we decided to hang on..so we had a new experience! Taking chair lift under the snow!..We've taken it many time for the luge ride..but never with snow.

To go back to train station, some took taxis and left remaining for bus..It actually cost only 1k for taxi ride.

We had really late lunch that day at 3pm..chose this Tetsuya brothers..this has to rank top 2 ramen we had..especially the fish broth ramen

After that, we went ESTA, cos ppl recommended BIC camera for shopping..and we went..I just have to conclude that we weren't made to shop during holidays..especially winter..cos it got really uncomfortable without aircon in malls..and carrying jackets all over.

This is one of the rare food that had to queue..taste so so.

Ah yi & yizhang brought the rest back to hotel for rest..while daddy and me checked out the rest of the malls around Sapporo station, and walk back to from Sapporo to Sususikino and finally Ibis Styles..which was 2 stop away...

For dinner, some stayed in hotel for Lawson's meal, while Jared & my parents had chinese again.

Daddy and me tried shabu shabu..and turned out it wasn't like SG's Shabu Sai..the soup were not meant to be drank..it was to cook the meat in the soup and eat with the sauce only.  So it wasn't really that nice

Hokkaido 2017: Day 11 (17-Dec-2017)

Nobody there..and nobody maintain the path towards the lake..so much snow that it become not accessible

We made our way of 130km to Mitsui Outlet Park..it was a very good drive cos it's paid expressway..so the road was totally clear of snow, and car speed can go up to 100km.

Mitsui Outlet Park had a very big food court..and many stall seemed to be famous type

Butadon-it was ok..Tomamu one was better

Weird texture of Ramen

Ibis Styles Sapporo..the Times car rental is just opposite the hotel for return car..super convenient.

Dinner was at Kirin Beer Garden, total cost about 25000Y, we had quite a bit of good stuff in there.

Supper of oyster at Gotsubo 6 for 630Y, we had 2 servings...super yum.
