Happy Birthday to Mummy

This is Jared trying to sing a birthday song for me when we were in Taiwan. Quite amusing lah..sing so soft and getting softer till almost cannot hear hehe.

Everyone sing together, Jared is always so happy when celebrating birthdays no matter who’s bday! Hehe

Terrible 2

Since 2-3 wk pass his exact birthday at 2yr old. Jared has been showing bad sign of terrible 2.

He is choosy on who play with him, only Daddy and gong gong when we were back in Sembawang. If he don't want you, you can't even sit around to watch him play..Wah lau!

He will shout what he wants when we were at supermarket.

Just yesterday he shout, Yakult ! Yakult!...I thought just becos of he said once, and we buy for him could be too pampering him..So i told KP, we not buying..Hell do I knows..he continues to...

Yakult! Yakult till he managed to hold it on his hand.

Last Fri, 28Dec was me taking him alone again after a long break. Daddy has to work, and My ILs are out.
It was challenging cos I've not really taken care of him alone since thyroid..where my muscle will ache after carrying him.

He's not into watching his DVD anymore..there's always things he scared in each DVD, strangely..during peak time, he can watch these shows 2x a day and nothing happen.

Mickey Mouse: He hates the easter egg, will shout to turn off the player immediately

Playschool: Oh, he hate the humpty dumpty so much!..and strangely he knows exactly when humty dumpty will come out! So funny.

So keeping him occupied is tougher now.

It was not bad stay ...although Jared apparently looks bored!..and keep wanting me to carry him by the gate to see if daddy home..

So poor boy keke..

p/s: Finally I felt healthy once again, after 2 wk of medication. No more muscle pain, no more prob of standing up or sudden fall.

Cannot believe a simple thyroid gland mal function can cause so much discomfort in a person.

I even heard that it can cost a person's character to change, heng ah..me not to that stage yet.

Owww...So sweet!

Jared really surprised us a lot at times..but probaly 60% were those bad ones!..hehe.

1) Just last night, when we go shopping at Timberland store, Jared found a bench to sit on. I didn't help him, so he climbed on the bench himself..He saw me carrying all the big small bags (my xmas shopping)...He asked me to put the stuff on the bench...

Mummy, fang4 xia4 lai2...

Me so touched!

2) I was told this incident by my Sis.

My grandma found a ball on the floor, keep wondering where's the ball come from, and what's that for.
Jared saw and told her that the ball is for the mouse and to put inside mouse.
Wow me again!

Mickey Mouse Bread

Recently I managed to bid a mickey mouse cookie cutter from Yahoo auction..so I had the first trial on bread...thought it would help Jared take bread.

Unforturnately ..he did not get attracted by the mickey mouse shape though...although now I'm pretty certain his fav cartoon character are mickey, minnie and donald duck.

He like to say the magic words Miska muska mickey mouse..Even at home and after so long didn't watch...so I got pretty disappointed when he refused to take the bread.

But I love these kind of cookie cutter..and to see the actual size is the smaller type really make me even happier..Cos no one would like to munch a big not so tasty cookie..(refer to my cooking hehe)

Now, I'm looking forward to see more design SM got fr Japan...hehe..

Christmas Night..

Nothing happen in the day, ok, except the fishy thingee.

At night after daddy knock off we went Central. Oh, been to Central on Haji to meet up with my frens....after that I simply love dining there. The views are good.

But we went Billy bombers this round, cos had our dinner at home. Oh, the view was bad, the food was bad 2x...haiz. Their cheese fries with not fully cook fries..What a waste!..Their famous milk shake was ok..taste more like ice cream.

My mum got 2 fish for Jared as pet which surprised me sooo much. But without food..So I went ahead and bought the food for them...

We named them Xiao hei1 and Xiao Hua1...Cos Jared like to recite a story written by the kids at PAP kindy downstairs...

Wo Jia You Yi Zhi Xiao Gou, Ta de ming ji jiao xiao hua1, he like to change its name to xiao mao1..etc etc

The 1st fish died <30min home, my mum hurt it during adding water...the 2nd one died <1hr...cos Jared insist on pouring out the water...
Sooo scary, traumatised me...

Now Jared used the aquarium to place his car...

Pls pls, dun get anymore pets for Jared!

Merry Merry Xmas..Ho! Ho! Ho!

It's festive period again!!..Wishing everyone Merry Xmas and Happy new Year..and most of all, hv a good holidays!

Finally we managed to get to Tang lin mall to enjoy the bubble snow..But it was a big disappointment to see not much Xmas deco there. The bubble snow was too heavy till most pic taken can't see much of us!...I don't think previous years was like this.

Jared as usual super scared of things related with water...Refused to get down at all..

We also had a dinner gathering for Tong Zhi4, which fall on 22 Dec, 3 days before Xmas.

Summary of trip

Overall, we felt that Taiwan was ok, for a 1 time trip..and we probaly won't be back that soon. And it's probaly not a suitable place for a tod either.

Mainly street food makaning, and visits of Lao Jie which Jared don't understand anything..

Taiwan's zebra crossing is not that easy to cross..Cars won't stop for you to cross..You'll need to garang make the 1st step..else you'll forever remain on spot..hehe...But we were impress with the displine of the locals, stand right hand side on escalator, give out Po2 Ai4 seat. So with us F&E, travelling on MRT is so frequent, yet my grandma & Jared always get seat.

Also Taipei Main Station is so big.,..changing from 1 MRT to another lane of MRT make us walked till leg so tired. I like staying in Xi Men Ding, at night we get to walk around and continued eating and walking. So many things to look at.

I didn't cook for this trip, It was a tough decision for me, cos I'm always so worried of Jared have outside food for all meals...! But it all went well, and it helps that Taiwan food are less salty most of time although oily. ..We bought eggs from 7-11, so Jared had half boil egg from 3rd day breakfast onwards. He also had our noodles..there hv a lot of noodles stall, just outside Neijiang hotel us XiMen noodle shop...their noodles taste good! Also the Ya rou bien and Tao Yuen beef noodle.

We didn't bring along any stroller..cos lately Jared refused to sit on it...So most of time it was my parents who took turn to carry him..hehe..More of a pak tou holiday for KP and me.

It was not bad overall, but super tiring...since most of the places were on foot!

Day 6: Long Shan Si & Tao Yuen Beef Noodles

After Martyr's Shrine, we continued to Long Shan Si Temple.

Tai Yuen Beef Noodle shop, at Tao Yuen street, actually this shop doesn't have signboard..We asked ppl around to get to the shop. Its right at the corner of the street, and you can see so many people queueing...But the turn over is very fast as they have 2 floor of restaurant. But they will be watching you eating if it's at peak period..Heh

Taiwan Trip Day 6 总列祠 , Long ShanSi Temple, Home sweet Home

Day 5 Bbq and Mala Dinner

Since it's the last night we are staying in Taiwan, so I brought everyone for their famous Mala steamboat. But Fei Tian Ma la was so full...so we went to Ta Yi Bao Mala which is slightly more ex, 360 vs 399NT, but it comes with Japanese Bbq. No regrets..cos we don't like ma la.

We ate so much meat there. But my dad and grandma are not used to this kind of food though so they left earlier..

This is a fish..Their way of bbq is so interesting. At the wire mesh, is my favourite Jap muah chee...I like the Q ness..So we order at least 6 plate that nite. Hehe.

After dinner, they all went home with Jared, Only KP and me visited the Huaxi Nite market.

Taiwan Trip Day 5 XinDian and Wulai

Wulai is the nearest aboriginal village to Taipei approx 1.5hr away

We had lunch at Tai4 ya2 zu2 their aboriginal ppl restaurant. Quite ex..strike new high cost meal NT900+

After lunch we walk around, and realised that to get to the tram/cable car, need to climb a high steep stairs...My dad think tat not suitable for my grandma..So we decided to look walk around again. Found this river...See so many ppl is having this outdoor hot spring bath.

Even my grandma enjoyed so much.

While jared is at the side waiting for us...KP and my mum take turn to take care of him..hehe

Taiwan Trip Day 5 Xindian and Wulai

To go to Wulai, take a bus from Xindian.

Saw fr the map that Xindian has a Bitan Scenic area, so we also visited it.

Today evening, we went Miramar Ferris wheel after Shilin Market.

This is so gigantic and beautiful. It just attracts one's eyes when get there.
