Got Jared to write this card.. of cos he can't come out with the sentence..I wrote on another slip and let him copy..and he quite enjoyed it. I asked him to write letter to his gong/mah mah..He said I write then he copy..hehe.

Place: learning lab, United Square

I brought her to enquire for ballet class at the school 1 level above Mandeville..and the entrance level is at 2.5yr old..so half a yr more to wait.

and we peep from the little window what the kids were doing inside the studio..and I asked Kaylen, she want to learn dancing? She said YAO4...

after we got home, I got her to perform what the kids did in the studio to daddy...she happily hold her dress side with both hands and bend little up and down..just like them..so cute...heh..Can't wait to see her in her ballerina outfit.

A story to tell
When I was in P1, I remembered a gal in my class learning piano..after I knew that, my impression of her changed..I find her looking so demure with dance lesson...and I was green with envious..and I was only P1 that yr..6+ yr (I'm a dec kid)...I could remembered that moment till now...
I have no chance to learn anything at that time..so I'm gonna let my kids have that chance and experience..if they don't like it..then its their choice to quit it later on..But I do not want to not even give them a chance..For that, I'm gonna work harder, and never thk of a day of sahm..hehe..

Pool at Vivo

Went to vivo to meet up the folks for dinner at Soup restaurant..Had a feast.....and after dinner, we went for a walk..Kaylen saw this pool...as expected..she immediately want to jump in..But koko was so scared of that kind of dirty pool..so remain seated on his stroller.

Gosh I still look so fat.

Luckily backside still not bad huh? hehe

Happy Mid Autumn 2010

Mum got lanterns from RC party..
Kaylen started playing with the lanterns..and it dropped & burned...
so she was frighten..and refused to carry candle lantern anymore.

Our malay neighbour invited us for their grandson 's fullmth ..while we spotted him doing big cooking at our corridor..heh..
so all of us went down for a feast...its my first time attending malay function even though I'm from JB..
I enjoyed feasting the rendang very much..but Jared couldnt tahan with the heat...

Jared @ 4yr 10mth old

What's he up to now?

I remembered when he was 3 yr+ to 4 yr old, every month I'll be busy updating Kaylen's development..but I basically has got nothing to update on Jared...as we were too busy with the new born,..and Jared was doing nothing fantastic..

But right now, I just want to say..I am just so proud of Jared's development..though may not be superior compared to other kids..but he is definitely making lots of improvement.

1) Jumbo book
We have completed K1 Jumbo book and now we are working on K2 (English, math, science) book...Bravo to my boy..but we didn't complete the whole of K1 lah..especially those that he need to come out with sentence or own words.

He did very well in K2 book for reading comprehention, grammar and the maths..
Things to improve on is definitely spelling , and creative writing..
Take a look at the passage...he could read most of it without help, and answer the question
Words that he needed help: Passage , stairs
Its amazing for a hyper active 4yr old going to 5 able to do this in my opinion...well, at least compared to us last time M'sia standard..hehe..
I also got him the chinese K2 jumbo book, mum is working with him on it..but he has problem recognising chinese word without hanyu pinyin..

2) Peter & Jane 7A
We are at about middle of book. Looks like my goal to finish him all the way to level 12 before he turn 5 definitely not going to come through..But never mind..Lets try to finish till 9b...maybe he don't need to go further liao..cos I noticed he is now very good with reading even at this age..

3) Some others books
He read all these books to me..gosh again I'm so proud..be it the bedtime stories..or Mc queen story..(1 page)

4) Flash card reading & Spelling
Stack 1: 45 cards
These are the cards he could spell now..

Stack 2: 100 Keywords
When I received and started using these flashcard back in March’10, it was pretty too easy to flash it to him…as P&J is repeating these words again and again..I got a little heartache, but an1 wei4 myself that I still have Kaylen to flash to..hehe..
But now these cards came in handy …cos I’m working to make Jared spell all the words in it..cos these are the basic.

Stack 1+2+3
He could read 99% of the cards..only miss 1-3 cards sometimes..But we very scared if he asked to do cards reading..that means the whole floor will be full with cards…We started with 5 cards reading per day since Jan’10…and after a while he could read 50 of them…by the time he could read about 150 cards, together with peter & jane…the rest of 100 cards do not need me to go through one by one…He already knew how to read by himself..

I’m really hopping that’s how spelling will work out for him…though he still do it by memorizing..one fine day he will realize how to decode these words..

5) Violin

He just did his first public performance at home 19Sept 2010, Sun!..3 songs( twinkle, parsnip polka, little einstein) .to su4 su4(Uncle Kee Hung), uncle james, gu nei, teoh gong, the grands, aunty irene, me...*daddy hiding in room, scared pai seh eh* hehe
Though that's a home performance..I'm glad that he managed to perform quite confidently ..with minimal mistake..and if you know him, he is a scaredy cat..so doing things like that is really difficult..when everything ended..he came to hug me and say I love you mummy..
Boy, I'm so proud of you...and I hope you will continue to practise harder..and do well.

*too bad I didn't record down..cos pai seh mah, but his uncle Kee Hung did do a recording and guess what Jared commented?

6) EQ
He need to work on behaviour issue...
biting ppl..talk loudly, fighting with mei mei, disturbing meimei...so many more..

Kaylen 2 yr old Update

Basically she can hold a pretty good conversation with anybody. No more bb language..but still in mandarin though

Physical skill
can pedal Jared's bike everywhere now, cant turn the pedal round and round though.

Counting: When we start countdown for Jared, she also join in the fun..
a typical line from me:
Me: Jared, 5 more minutes ok...Five,...
Kaylen: four, three...two..one..
But she doesn't know what it means ..or know any actual counting..

Her stuff
She is very particular with her stuff..

Eg
She would not want to use koko’s tooth brush, tooth paste..and even the brand new bpa free avent bottle. Cos ko ko has been using avent brand..and drugstore shipped us extra after we complained lost parcel..and finally the original parcel arrived..so we now had 4 brand new bpa free avent bottle. And she refused to use it..so that means I got to buy new bottles for her.

Nottier than ever
She’s nottier than ko ko at the same time, climbing up and down…

Diaper free in the day
She can go total diaper free in the day, she would tell if she wanna pee or poo..and no miss..unless she’s too engrossed in playing..in fact sometimes we bring her out without the diaper too.
But sometimes if she sleep too long in the day time during nap..she might still pee in her sleep.

Eating

She is amazing..she eat very very little most of time..We are considered lucky if she can take 2 tablespoon of rice with soup and some fish. Most time she just take 2 mouthful of rice, with some chic or soup..and that's it.

Dunno how she grow up..*haiz*..making her eat is like battling..

But she loves chocolates...heh..

Kaylen's Lunar Birthday Celebration

Did I ever mention this??

Kaylen's lunar birthday falls on 7day of eight month 2008...

If I had ever had time to check the lunar calendar before deciding when to come let her come out...I would delay 1 more day and pay for Dr Ang's extra to make her come out on that super auspicous 888 day...what's done is done..

Since my dad missed her angmo birthday celebration, so I planned for another celebration at Zhou's Kitchen with my tunglok voucher $100...for lunar bday celebration..Took the set meal, but after deduction still cost like $270...*faint*..and most imptly food wasn't really nice..But portion was really big..

They lighted the candles, turn on loud birthday music and staff clapping hands..frighten our Kaylen..hehe..She was shock throughout ...till after cake cutting hehee..

Kaylen is 2!

Kaylen's Birthday-Actual Day

After the celebration on 5Sept Sun at chalet..We all went home feeling exhausted..and did not do much things that day...MIL cooked a feast, mee suah for lunch while Kaylen had more drumstick..and steam fish and a lot of other dishes for the celebration..

Our mission for the day was to order a new fridge..it has been a disaster without a fridge..no cold drinks, no place to put frozen fish etc..

So daddy and me went out hunting fridge while Kaylen was asleep...

We finally bought a Mitsubishi 3 door at $900 at GainCity..with 5yr warranty top up.

After dinner, Kaylen changed into her new pyjama gifted by gu nei..it seemed so big at first..but really cute in her..It's a trendy thing now in Msia to wear korean style pyjama..So gu nei made 1 for her...

and I analysed to daddy that..see if we don't go chalet..this what we gonna do at home..sleep& eat..and wait for dinner time to go restaurant..
But if we go chalet, we could have so many things to do..hehe.
So I'll be trying my luck again next yr with the weather, and chalet location..
