Happy 41th Birthday to Daddy

Early Celebration with a "Disaster" cake..Cranberry Jelly Cheesecake..I was too impatient..and didn't wait long enough for the cheese to set..still, it taste equally nice..and kids love it.


On the actual day, we took half day leave to try out a new restaurant..Prive Grill at a small island Keppel...just beside vivo city..It was a nice place  but it had to rain heavily...so we didnt have chance to walk around...and after lunch we had to rush for movie at Vivo..We are sure to bring the kids along next time for breakfast at Prive Cafe..

The set lunch was at $35 per pax with a 3 course meal.  We chose all kind of food we never tried before, For appetiser, we had some duck roll, and ox tounge...didn't like quite like it, for maincourse we had steak and tuna. Steak was super good..but tuna a bit yucky.  For dessert we had dates & pecan tart with ice cream and creme brulee..The dates tart was so so good.  A hit and miss restaurant..but for the surrounding, its certainly worth a trip for that special occasion.

My 37th birthday Celebration

Couple celebration is a day earlier, cos we had to attend kids CEC concert on the actual day. Daddy brought me to the White Rabbit at Dempsey.

We tried the foei gras($29),  pumpkin risotto ($33) ,the pork ribs ($48), and truffle fries ($16). price on the very high side, and portion is extremely small..however it is really well made for the quality. Total bill is $140. I love the foei grass and risotto..our 1st time trying out..We were so full at the end and didn't finish the food..cos has 2 dinner rolls each. On the atmosphere, it was quite good..but one trial is good enuff..

To daddy, this is my favourite birthday present so far..the wallet is at the perfect size, and can keep all my cards and a lot more coins..

After CEC camp, we had dinner at Bangkok jam, united square..which turned out to be totally dissapointing..

Got home with the 6 cupcake from Twelve Cupcakes for my birthday cake..A nice change..and it was on sale 4 free 2.




Also did my hair finally before CEC camp...

Cupcake on its own is not sweet, after add cream cheese the sweetness is perfect.
No buttermilk, so replaced with plain yogurt.

But kids much preferred butter cake to this red velvet cupcake.

The P2 Exam Ordeal is finally over

Not very good..especially chinese..even though I've put in additional efforts on it...
But I'm really happy with English compo, have not seen the work yet.
So from now onwards the focus will have to be on Chinese compo..

Dad's birthday Celebration Dim Sum @ Taste Paradise, Ion

Thought this is the colourful xiaolongbao restaurant..only realised its not when we got there.

Very very high class..one of the most ex dim sum restaurant we've been...and super crowded and long wait.

So hungry that the kids have to eat biscuit while waiting..and there was timing for the seating 11:00 to 12:30pm..but the food only come around 11:45am..and by the time we pay 12:40pm, they like already keep reming next round guest is waiting outside, yet they took so long to bring the bill..

Almost all the dim sum tasted very nice, liu sha bao , char siew sou..egg tart.. must have tasted best in sg and even better than HK..

Very beautiful interior and nice uniform for the staff..but a bit proud lah..

This roast pork portion came in a big shock..$12 for that few piece of roast pork..and half a piece some more..But the skin is cruchy..

Overall, if they serve faster, I think the dim sum is really worth going again..but not often..only when indulge..heh..Damage $250..

Kenshin's 4th birthday party

Spent a lovely & relaxing afternoon at Mary's place... for Kenshin's bday party..We have not had gathering since CNY.. get to chit chat with old frens get more info abt primary sch..hehe while the kids get crazy abt the toys..and hardly disturb me..For the 1st time Jared didn't ask to go hm, and all others too..prefered to stay and play Wii.

Waipo's Birthday & Mother's day celebration

We came to vivo's bosses restaurant for dim sum branch...Most restaurant were fully booked even few days before mother's day. This is the memorable pic..ah yi at 4-5mth preggie..looking twice of me..hehhehe

Dim sum at bosses in general quite ex. But the restaurant interior looking very nice & high class...glad to bring family here..and since its brunch..most don't have much appetite..that helped me save some $. Their egg tart must have been sg's best egg tart..tasted really good.

Daddy's birthday-actual day

 No special celebration as we just had 2 feast, grandma's bday on Sun, our couple steamboat fair on Tues...so it was simple cake session only on actual day 29-Apr...I got daddy an i phone this year, in fact his plan is up every 2yr in apr...so every 2yr I gave him a new phone..hah.

Kids went to Toa Payoh with Waipo to get the cake..
Apr-May is a very bz period for us...We had grandma, daddy, Mum, and ah yi's bday..then after which we can take a break till aug/sep gonggong&Kaylen's bday...till Nov/dec Jared& mine..hehe

Grandma's 84th birthday celebration at JB

Feast at suteramall food court, Evergreen..dishes were very well done...especially the chicken...All these(excluded 1st dish mee suah) for RM290, so cheap if we convert..heh..It's portion was so huge too..slightly more than enough for 14 of us.

Sg conversation rate is really so powerful, my fav roast chicken..such a big fat chic was only rm30..probaly Sg12-13?? Oh mine...

The only "not so good" abt this restaurant was it's halal..so no ku luo rou ...hehe

Group photo time..this had to be 1st time we had so many ppl celebrating grandma's bday together...we should try to do it every year...Even though it was long weekend, there was no jam in and out..traffic was free flowing...Lucky

Post V day celebration @ Bistro Petit Salut

He gave me a Kate Spade cosmetic bag..and since we were both so bz with so many CNY makans before Vday..we arranged for a night out post V day.

I gave him choices of Marina Sands, Sentosa, Dempsey hill..but he chose Holland V. So the rest was for me to research for a restaurant within budget..hehe..so I booked this Bistro Petit Salut..for some French cuisine..

Not the 1st time I tried escargot..but I still like it..hehe..

We got the 3 course set dinner..at $42++ and top up for the duck confit.

The lamb cheese must be the worst tasted most sao1..luckily daddy likes it.

Overall, it was nice experience..especially we had the whole indoor restaurant to ourselves the whole time we were there..there’s another table at outdoor.

Bill came out to be $100+..its been so long since our last indulge..definitely prefer this over buffet.

2011 New Year

We spent the day at ah yi’s house.

Watched the Gulliver’s travel at Tampinese Mall, with Jared…then Kaylen and mum came to pick us up and we went to take pics at the playground there. Ever since we had that camera..we love to go places to take more pics..hehe.
