Pizza baking

I’ve been contemplating for pizza baking for the longest time..We just had spaghetti the last weekend, so we had left over spaghetti sauce..Just nice for pizza base.

I prepared the dough the night before, as I saw kneading& proofing need 1hr+

This is the first pizza we made..thicker, with yummy bread as we eat right after taken out from oven..

Recipe from Happy Home Baking

Thick Crust Pizza
Ingredients: (make two 10" pizza dough)

250g bread flour
50g plain flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 teaspoons instant yeast
1/2 teaspoon dried mixed herbs (optional)
1 tablespoon olive oil180ml lukewarm water

Method:
Place bread flour, plain flour, salt, yeast and dried mixed herbs (if using) in a mixing bowl.
Mix well with hand. Make a well in the centre and add olive oil and water. Using your hand, gradually work the ingredients together to form a soft dough.

Turn dough out onto a lightly floured work surface and knead for 10-15mins until the dough becomes smooth and elastic. Shape dough into a round ball and place in a lightly oiled mixing bowl. Cover with cling wrap and leave to rise for 1 hr or until double in size.

Turn out the risen dough onto a lightly floured work surface and knock it down to release the air. Give it a few gentle kneading. Divide dough into 2 equal portions. Shape into two balls, cover loosely with cling wrap and let the doughs rest for about 10mins.

Roll or press out each portion to a round, about 12" in size. Place dough on baking tray lined with parchment paper or on a greased pan.

Spread some pizza sauce over the dough to within 1 cm (0.5 inch) of the edge. Arrange a layer of grated cheese (I used grated mozzarella), followed by preferred toppings. Sprinkle the top all over with grated cheese.

Bake in a preheat oven at 220 degC for 15-20mins or until the crust has turned golden and the cheese has melted. Serve warm.

Mummy: Who told you we are going?
Jared: We are going…Are we going to take A380? *mummy think, jared lihai leh*
Mummy: no, budget.
Jared: budget is small plane, A380 is xtra large plane, normal is medium plane. What is xtra small plane?
Mummy: maybe jetplane?
*daddy came in*
Mummy: the boy is asking if we are going to take A380?
Daddy: nooo..A380 will crash, parts will fall down..so we take budget.

This is what we call love…Sharing umbrellas

This is just so cute..
Supposedly a picnic at the new woodlands waterfront..our 2nd time there…event turned out disaster as it rained..
We managed to get a shelter to have food..but lots of stranger standing around..to avoid rain pek chek..and both kids are most interested in the potato chips than the fry udon which I made..

Jared offered to let Kaylen ride the bike instead..and he would hold the umbrella for her..very cute siblings in red, and red umbrella.

Painting the wall behind tv..we are probaly last family in sg still using the huge crt tv..*faint*.

Our wall was torn..since the day our wedding..that was like 6 yr ago..and we could tolerate the big torn till today…I nag nag at daddy non stop..and finally we got our engine started to re-paint the wall..But color not so suitable..*faint*

Work in progress..messy house..left kids at Whampoa on deepavali day

The finish work..

The cosy corner..but the fragile items(precious moment, and our wedding favour) has since moved to on top of tv cos Kaylen can't stop moving them around

Colour look brownish yellow here, much nicer in pic..but in actual case slightly more yellow..so not tat nice..

The painting and cleaning up probaly take less than 2hr..unexpectedly fast..very tempted to pain whole living room..but on 2nd thought better not...

O Come Little Children

This song is quite difficult, needing to control the bow...as there's a few parts that need to start half way and up bow, or stop half way down bow...For smaller kids, its just memorise when and where to stop..This is the result after he practise for 1wk+ with daddy constant scolding.

and after those dangerous point, he tend to go very fast, and trying to finish the whole song..

But to me, it seemed not bad wuh..hehe..so I complimented him for his good work...

Xiao Xiao Gu Niang by Kaylen 25mth

She actually sang the xiao S exercise song, tian hei hei, etc for me to record..but she deleted all of them left this..:(
