I only want to be as good as Jared now..then I'm all satisfied..hehe
But ah yi is pushing us to pay $ for these skates..hehe..

Kid and daddy doing hi-5
Daddy is doing quite well now!

Picnic at Marina Barage
Somehow even though the haze wasn't really at a very bad condition, both skating & swimming lesson was still cancelled off by the coach..A little dissapointed as we already made date with Ahyi to picnic at Bishan park..but finally we changed to picnic by the barage..
So coincidently there was NDP rehearsal on going...so we had great time watching helicopters, jet planes, parachutes, and flag flying above us...

Chiffon Cheese Cake
Chiffon Cheese Cake (Recipe from Grace)
Ingredients
150g cake flour
100g caster sugar
200g grated cheddar cheese (not enough, so replaced with 50g of melted cream cheese)
1/2 tsp sat
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
100ml canola oil
100ml milk
5 eggs yolks
7 egg white
1/2 tsp cream of tartat
Methods
In a bowl whisk egg yolks and 2 tbsp of sugar (fm 100g of sugar) till creamy. add in oil and milk and continue to whisk, stir in grated cheddar cheese.
Fold in sifted flour, salt, baking powder and also baking soda, set aside
in another bowl, whisk egg white with cream of tartar, ass in the rest of sugar a little at a time till soft peak.
Fold in 1/3 part of egg white into egg yolk, mix it gently, fold in the rest of your egg white and continue to mix gently till well combined.
Pour half batter into a 22cm tube pan, sprinkle with half of the grated cheese, top it with the rest of the batter and lastly sprinkle with the rest of the grated cheese.
Bake on a preheated oven of 175degree about 45 mins

Unfortunately kids always don't like chiffon cake...so they gave me 1 mark. But I can really eat up a big portion of the chiffon cake because of the lightness...
I think I still have problem controlling the egg white peak..so it turned out like light cheese cake..which was also very nice.

The Haze
With surgeon mask from office...its becoming so bad last Fri (21-Jun)..that even office is distributing the surgery mask when we go home..
Daddy also got more from his office.
Kids nagged so much for the Monster Uni movie..even willing to treat me since I'm complaining how exp the movie tics for 4 of us..$47+ on weekend rate!..Finally, I got the HSBC movie card, and paid only $30 for it...Jared even said ok to let go prata breakfast for the movie..Indeed it was quite fun to watch.
Kaylen all dress up for the movie outing..equipped with her mask.
Its really nice, having most enrichment(skating, swimming) being cancelled off due to haze..But also got so boring not able to do anything outdoor

Kaylen's development 4yr 9 month
Reading: read without help for Roald Dahl's Enourmous Crocodile!!! What an achievement.
Exactly at this age, I also introduced Jared this book, But I had to read to him!

Compliments: Her handwriting is really nice..on par with me..so I had always showered her so much compliments till Jared are so used to it.
But after hearing her play the violin, I scolded her stupid..and that drove her mad..so mad that she told waipo the next day, she wanted to swap her mummy away!
I seriously find it so regretful to start her on violin..its really a tough journey...but daddy already said she is much better than koko ..
Abacus: Book 6.
She is going to take level 7&8 arithmetic exam in few weeks time...The only worry probaly is if she can write her name properly.
Kaylen and her scooter
Somehow she is quite good physically except balancing..so she cannot ride 2 wheel bike, or skate or do scooter. While Jared was the other way round, bad in all physical, but good in balancing...
This is the video taken while Jared had skating class and Kaylen practicing scooter.

Kaylen in her new ballet attire
The old attire and shoes lasted her from 2.5yrs till now..It was stained, small and so squeezy for the shoes. But since I had plan to change her ballet school, so I did not buy any new one for her even though she has been complaining about the shoes.
Now at Slyvia Mccully school, for pre primary, they are wearing white. And for each grade they have different uniform.
She quite enjoy the class..and came out with happy mood. But we have yet to get used to leaving house at 9am so early..After class, Kaylen and me have to take bus to United square to meet daddy and koko for car ride home. Luckily there was at least 3 bus that goes there..only we have to climb 2x overhead bridge...

Happy Father's day 2013..."Greatest daddy on Earth"
- He is the personal violin teacher for Jared, guiding him through songs and pinpoint any imperfection..and only he can hear that. Not a normal ppl without music background can differentiate the slight pitch, timing, or groove difference. And now he is also coaching Kaylen personally on the violin…
- When I signed Jared up for TLL, the English compo standards were way too difficult for me, so he would spend hours correcting Jared’s work (the pics in the collage was daddy correcting Jared’s Chinese work)..He is also correcting his compo, as I cannot write Chinese at all.
- He coach kids on swimming when he don’t know how to swim himself..
- He attend the inline skating lesson with Jared, be the personal coach for him and guide him through every single new stuff, coach teach…when he don’t know how to skate himself...See the collage pics, all other parents would be relaxing by the side...while our daddy will be so kam cheong and be the one who understand instruction from coach and make sure Jared do accordingly all the time..
- He bath the kids, clean their sneeze...and wake up at night to attend to them
We didn't celebrate the day though..too busy to bake cupcake which I originally had planned...
We just had a session of family time trying out skating...
Daddy's 1st time on skate shoe..and using all the theory he has learnt from coach hehe.

Kaylen: The little Vainpot & Music class finally
She has been asking for months for the ears to be pierced since Jared was preparing for his May test..she would come to me , After koko finish exam, can we go and punch my ear?
We got it done at B'dazzled..after some research, they have the most hygenic, pierce 2 ears at once..and of cos it also came with price...$150 inclusive of 2 bottle of med..
She did not cry at all...but maybe half hour later she started to feel some pain..and started complaining about it..hehe..
She had her 1st official lesson at Music Key on Wed 12-Jun...So when daddy brought her there, she was asking are they taking car? And got disappointing they have to walk to music school hehe.
Violin at the beginning is the most difficult..and most pek chek...I'm glad I'm not the 1 to go through with them heheh..

KL Pavillion 5-8 June 2013 Part 5
Swim and Hearty breakfast in hotel..despite the lauyar room..the breakfast are still not bad...I simply loves the oatmeal with papaya there, that I need to take 2 bowl every morning.
Bottom pics of greens were Jared's choice of breakfast everyday!
Taken at hotel while waiting for shuttle to Pavillion
Pavillion has got the feel of SG's ion..and maybe bigger and better...but it also came with a price!..Everything here is >double of SG ...so no cheap buys at all.
We got the wo lai ye rou gan 340g is like RM30...when sg Xiang Wei on sale, we get $10-$15 500g...
and finally 1 dozen Krispy Kreme to go home, RM25 only...super duper cheap...
KL KLCC Twin Tower 5-8 June 2013 Part 4
A sad place...I lost my wallet! This is the 1st time happening to me ever! Lost SG IC ($100-replacement fee), RM60, SGD52 and 2 credit card, 1 of them have EZlink value SGD15...Loss was minimise as when we left hotel, we have forgotten to put in more RMs in the wallet..and I know exactly what I have as I did a check at the LRT station..
We also caught a movie at KLCC...After earth, it was so nice that kids stay awake throughout.

Jared's fav restaurant in M'sia...with their RM16.90 salted fish fried rice.

2 lunch over 2 days...that's how crazy Jared was with their fried rice.
I find the taste of the nasi lemak was really good..but dessert was so-so..although theirs is really like homemade..maybe too used to lower quality stuff.
Price wise its really high..simple M'sian meal lunch cost RM60-80+ each time, and most time we have only 2 main course with side dish/dessert.

KL Kidzania 5-8 June 2013 Part 3
Next is working in the hospital..Both of them got the endoscopy doc posting..
2 doc in da house...If this ever comes true...hehe
Dell computer engineer...
Air asia air stewards...as pilot queue was too long
The longest ever queue in Kidzania..the fireman..as they get to take ride on the fire engineen. We were so lucky to be the last batch to be able to do this job. But after waiting sometime, Kaylen was too tired...and gave up..so she went to queue for face painting instead.
Kaylen with her face painting..again she was the last few of the session..heh.
The kids earned a total of 190kizzos (~7 jobs), 40kizzos was used on face painting..the remaining Jared bought this glitter bubble blower...
Kidzania closed at 3pm..so we proceeded to the Curve shopping for DUNCH (dinner+lunch). While looking at the directory for restaurant to dine in, Kaylen chosed this Paddington Bear Pancake restaurant..despite daddy's disapproval.
It turned out its a full restaurant that served everything..and price is so reasonable too!..and most of all, the pancakes must be the nicest pancake I've ever eaten!
The meal only cost RM50! there's another potato wedges not in pic..Kids were too hungry, table was too small..
After the dunch, we walked around The Curve, the restaurants were layout so similar to US mall..with US brand like the Bubblegump shrimp restaurant.
We bump into this exact same like Singkids playground and was attacted by the cheap price RM20 for unlimited play. So let the kids go in while I had my pedicurve at the old curve building..super best arrangement..since I'm having bad toe nails..hehe.
Finally too tired and slept while we were looking for taxi to go back hotel and through the night from 7pm+ onwards..
