Hotel: Premier Inn Manchester City Centre (Arena/Printworks)
GBP81 breakfast included
Shakespeare's Birthplace/ Holy trinity church-grave
Manchester Old Tratford Stadium/City/ Christmas market/Chinatown
Breakfast @ PI Stratford upon Avon
Had a good PI breakfast again. After that, we went to walk
around the town, and somehow ended at Holy trinity church to visit Shakespeare
grave. Had to pay GBP6 as voluntarily donation.
The town was basically a Shakespeare town, we past by Halls Croft, even
the Shakespeare's daughter, Susanna and her husband Dr John Hall was made into museum, and payment needed to visit
Shake's Birthplace
At about 11am we started our drive to Manchester. The drive was
quite ok, many cars on the road, but speed was quite fast >100km/hr most of
the time, used the toll road of GBP6.40. But once we were into Manchester the
traffic became quite slow, the city was full of cars & construction.
1st stop Old Trattford Stadium..many many big size security guarding the place with bag check before entering the shop..and things were expensive there
Check in & had lunch at the Xmas market just a short walk
from PI
We tried visiting Machester Art Gallery, but it did not appeal
to us , we were out like in 10mins..since that we avoided art gallery like
pest.
Dinner was at Chinatown, was first appalled at the price as each
item on the menu was about GBP10 or more for vege/tofu/roast, but when the food
came, the portion was actually enough for 10pax..so I would say it was pretty
cheap for big family. But for our family with small eater, we had a hard time
to finish the food.
Saw a man ordered 3combi roast on rice..the meat was so much
that it covered all the rice, and the
rice was so much that can feed 3ppl.about GBP10 only
Roast meat with mash in large yorkshire pudding from xmas market near PI manchester
Dinner @ Manchester chinatown
