Hong Kong & Macau Trip Day 4 16 Mar 2011-To HK

Day 4 Macau to HK After breakfast at hotel, we took the hotel shuttle bus to ferry terminal and took the ferry back to TST. Again Jared sea sick..and feeling uncomfortable throughout the ferry trip. We caught the 1.30pm hotel shuttle bus to go back hotel..and after putting luggage, we took the train to Jordan MRT for Tai Ping Koon. TPK is a short walk from Jordan MRT..but since it was late lunch, Jared was already so hungry and angry. We ordered 2 set meal, the roasted pigeon set, and the swiss chicken wing set..but did not come out to expectation. Even the soufflĂ© disappoint us..Haiz..The meal cost quite a bit HKD700+ (over SGD100)…cos I didn’t know its standard before going hehe..The waiter were all with bow tie, and dear daddy commented they looked as old as restaurant. Hehe. After TPK, we walked around Nathan road towards temple street..Did some shopping and after that took train to TST again for the avenue of star. Its complete relaxing and nice to be there..The views of simply fantastic. Took so many pictures, and finally took the star ferry to cross to HK side. We took the upper deck at HKD2.50. Over at HK side, we had to settle dinner at IFC, at their noodle & congee restaurant, which again was so expensive… After dinner we took the star ferry back to TST…and bid farewell to my parents, which they go back to Macau..and we go back hotel.

First ferry to and flow Macau and HK cost about SGD30+ and no child rate/old age rate...Kaylen need to pay full fee too
 The famous souffle from TPK
Roast pigeon not nice.

Fried big intestine, very common in HK but taste yucky

In the first ferry..its the cheapest transportation mode HKD2 or HKD2.50 upper deck (50cent SGD for the ride
Very beautiful night scene

Hong Kong & Macau Trip Day 3 15 Mar 2011 -To Macau!

Day 3 15 Mar The plan today was to join my parents at Macau! Woke up very early to catch the hotel shuttle to TST at 7:30am Checked out and took the bus and walk to China Ferry terminal..it was pretty long walk with some luggage.. Bought the 8:30 ferry ticket..but was told delayed to 9am+ due to big fog. Finally board the ferry around, but after a while Jared had this stomachache, and vomitted in the toilet..he suffered this on the way back too..only then we knew he had sea sick. Reached hotel at 11:30am..and immediately we go to our 1st stop senado square..Eat at the 1st restaurant we bumped..a little dirty and smelly..but lucky food was ok..I had the 1st and nicest pork chop bun there.. Walking along senado square was nice ..and trying out all the souvenier food along the way to st paul ruin..The main items are the bak kwa, almond biscuit(hiks, forgot to take pics, cos we don’t really like almond biscuit)… The view of St paul ruin is even nicer..we can’t just keep on snapping pics.. We stayed till it rained..and no choice, got to take bus back to hotel..and rest.. Casa real has very nice & modern rooms..only too bad not many eatery around it.. After dinner, we went over to Sands to take the free shuttle bus to Venetian..it was the coldest night at Macau..even 3 layer of jacket can still made us feel cold with the strong wind. The venetian at macau is quite similar to the 1 in Las Vegas..pretty and grand..We took the gondola ride after the kids urge..and enjoyed ourselves so much with the 20mins ride..The gondola guy sing 2 songs for us..

Very beautiful Senado Square

Limited edition pork bun, but not as nice

Hong Kong & Macau Trip Day 2 14Mar Ocean park

Day 2 14Mar Ocean park Hot air balloon I had a sleepless night as I’m stressed that no shopping done yet, no dim sum yet and the next day we are leaving HK already.. So we decided to forgo Lin Heung restaurant at Central (wait can be up to 45mins)..just go for the connecting shopping mall’s Superstar dim sum at level 8. Very high class when we entered the restaurant..Thankfully, price were really reasonable.. Their breakfast set was really worth while and came with many item like congee+porridge+vege cost HK30 (SGD5) only.. So we ordered so many items and made sure kids were super full. Total bill turned out <$50 In sg, dear daddy and me can easily whipped out these amt by ourselves not including the grands and Jared..so I’m very happy with the deal.. After that we took train to Admiralty, along the way we saw shop selling cheaper ocean park ticket..so we got the tics..and went to queue for bus 629..a long queue..and the ride is close to 30mins. When we got down the bus, the sun was at its hottest and brightest..that damped the mood immediately.. First thing we noticed was the hot air balloon..and Kaylen couldn’t meet the requirement, so I brought her waiting under the shade. Jared had to queue for 1hr to get on the balloon.. Kaylen was short by 2cm for the ride..just before the rest (Jared, daddy, grands) turned to ride, she suddenly realized she was not going for the ride. While they queue, I brought her for carousel ride, walk around etc.. Just before their turned, I returned to shoot their pics..and for memory sake I decided to take a video for Jared’s 1st ever balloon ride. It was so funny, Kaylen cried throughout their balloon ride asking to get up.. The balloon ride is somehow very strict…no carrying of bb, everyone need to weigh and stand at the allocated area so that balloon is balance.
after the ride..he got hungry again..so we fed him biscuit & milk by the side..After that we continued with visiting panda home, and take the cable car to the other side of ocean park where we see the giant jellyfish, underwater world…and had lunch. Lunch was so ex there..each maincourse cost like HKD100+ (SGD15)…but no choice kids were hungry..we ordered like 4 main course to share..Sitting was nice, beside the giant window with ocean next to us. Then we continued with 1 more ride, which is the ferris wheel…and that’s it we had to give up doing anything under the hot sun…and go back..hah Tried Hui lau shan mango dessert at Mongkok before going back..Jared was throwing tantrum again..said he was too tired to eat anything..but was ok to tapau…so we brought it back to hotel for him..and for dinner I got them KFC from nearby mall. The grands went to shop around Mongkok..when they back, it was our turn…we had 2hr of shopping spree at the fa yuen street..

Very nice and grand restaurant..

Minced pork rice

Hong Kong & Macau Trip Day 1

Trip was planned and confirmed back in Oct 2010. So everything was a steal. Air ticket by Tiger $300 each, Hotel on average $120. Total expenditure for 6 of us $1762(air ticket), hotel $1565.9 Day 1 13 Mar Our flight is at 8am..we had to wake up as early as 4:30am..and leave Sembawang by 5pm..reached Whampoa to pick up dad who will be using the car for few days. Arrived at budget terminal..everything is definitely so budget..We had promised Jared that he’ll get his airline food even though this is budget. During our last few trip on budget airline, we told him food were ex..As a result, he hated budget airline..heh..He is just like me loves airline food..heh. So even though he already had MacD as breakfast, once settle down ..he still ordered his chicken rice and sprite. And ate at least of half portion. Arrived at HK airport around 12pm…Got our airport express train ticket & octopus card..off we go to town! The train was fabulous..fast and comfortable. And We transferred to K5 bus at Kowloon direct to hotel. Checked into hotel royal plaza, was told room will only be ready by 3pm..so went to connecting shopping mall to have lunch.. By now Jared was so so so hungry & tired and throwing big tantrum..same as Kaylen..Took a while to make them eat…and after eating we went back to get our room. Room was so so spacious and new especially the grands king room…Most of HK hotel is similar size as Jap hotel..so I made sure I did lots of review to get this hotel and also by asking friends. After settled down we went to the peak. Took train+ long walk before arrived at the peak tram station.. Nice ride..but quite disappointed with up there..viewing area was small..and day was so cloudy.. Daddy insisted to wait till night come to take night pic…By then there was already such long queue to come down…kids were so hungry and tired again… Fed them biscuit etc..took the MTR back to Mongkok and rushed into the 1st restaurant that we saw..Ordered at least 4-5main course..to make sure everyone full. Hehe. Hk by Tigerairaways at Sg budget terminal
This flight is similar quality to the delta airline we always take..not too bad..especially all of us have a seat now..and grands take care of 1 kid, we took care of Kaylen 1st time Kaylen had a seat of her own
Arrived at HK airport..kids so energetic

Lunch box for outing

The outing was to go aerospace museum..I didn't even know such museum exist in Sg..hehe..We've been to 1 in Salt lake..

So I kept asking him, is there any real aeroplane or only toy aeroplanes?

He told that he and Reuben were the leaders..and their job was to catch Cayden who liked to run away..

He also came back to tell with envy that some friends brought sushi with egg stuffing & fried noodles..he only finished the tomatoes, ji dan kao, and 1 piece of sandwich
