Moist Chocolate Cake

2 cups of  plain flour

2 cups of sugar

¾ Cup Hershey's Cocoa

2 Eggs

1 Teaspoon Salt

1 Cup Buttermilk (Add 1 Tablespoon of White Vinegar or Lemon Juice to a measuring cup. Add milk and fill to 1 cup (240 ml). Let it stand for 5 minutes.)

1 Cup Mazola Vegetable Oil 

1 ½ Teaspoons Vanilla Extract

1 Cup Boiling Water + 1/2pack nescafe powder (can consider put all)

Mix all ingredient except boiling water

Add boiling water

Bake at 160C for 1 hour

Before we moved out from Sembawang, already heard of this place..and it's forever long queue...

Decided to try it during this haze season, turned out we only waited less than 15mins for a table.



It's truly good..but to spent 1 hour to queue maybe I might not do it.

Hotel stay @KSL, JB

Made a last minute trip to JB as a reward for Jared completing his violin exam, make up for Kaylen's 7th birthday celebration and finally a short break for the sch holiday.  It was so last minute that I actually book the hotel stay the night before...cos of the haze, and safety in JB...we just couldn't make up our mind.

So glad that we made the trip, cos it had been such a stressful time since the 1 week holiday started due to Jared's violin exam and him fell really sick just before the exam.  We left immediately after Jared completed the exam..and he went with a good mood, the exam seemed to go quite well...at least the practice before with piano teacher and Teacher Joy, was quite good.  Nevertheless, as long as its a pass its good enough for us..

Everyone enjoyed the short trip so much with the pool...and the hotel stay only cost $120 with breakfast..super worth while.  And our car is safe and sound..apparently many SG cars were there!

Kaylen's 7th Birthday-Actual Day

After a few months wait, she finally can go to TLL with her chosen birthday present

It was her actual 7th Birthday day.

GE2015 Fever

So now it's the season of General Election..and it's the easiest to bump into MPs.

Kaylen's 7th Birthday

A few months before her birthday, she has been busy planning.  As her birthday bump into koko's violin exam week, so we cannot go for hotel stay.  Instead, she has chosen to have her birthday party held at ah yi's house.  So I order some delivery and have a simple birthday party there.

For presents, similar, she has ordered me to buy her a Frozen luggage school bag, a Smiggle watch from ah yi...and instructed koko not to get a "food" for birthday present.  And she was counting down all the way to her birthday...



Ah yi also gifted her Frozen dress and shoe since didn't fit YX, which made her day!








At ah yi house, Jared was very sick

Jared's Grade 5 Violin Recital

Okay..my only wish for him for the recital is no matter what happens finish the song..

During his Grade 2 and Grade 3 Violin recital, he made huge mistake and always ended crying on my lap.

But I'm so glad that this grade 5 ...at least he finish his song...I can't hear the mistake anyway

Ever since she completed her grade 2 violin exam in March, I've changed her violin teacher to Chen Ge at Bradell who also teaches at PCPS.

Teacher invited her to join his recital at his house at Pearl Bank Chinatown..playing Minuet No. 1 and 2
