Meet The Parents for Jared

So we finally made time to meet Mr Kok.




The feedback we got is rather shocking…

He said Jared has got no friend in class, he refused to talk to others. Refused to help weaker kids. And everyday he will order the same thing from the same stall and eat slowly till the bell rings, unlike his friends who eat quickly and go on to play.



Teacher even emphasized zero friends, like a statue in class.



And he said not to worry as he believed he is that artistic, perfectionist that he don’t like to join others, and he felt he is different from the rest..



Mr Kok said, Jared’s work is always the key work in class, if he need to show sampl e of work to others, he will just grab his work.



And excellent grade is very prestigious, as the school limit to 3 kid in class..and he is one of them.



And I told him how talkative is Jared at home, how naughty he could be, how often I shout at him, Teacher could not believe it, and ask me to take a video. Hehe.



Teacher said with his character he is sure Jared will be able to do something world class in future.



We were like (????) heheh



After that, we went to look for Gan lao shi. Again its all praise..She commented that he ‘s not the type whom like to show off, but when asked, he will know a lot..and his expressing in Chinese is very good. And most commendable would be his reading posture..and she was sure that we at home trained him very well.

Gosh. I couldn’t even make him sit properly and he always like to lie down to play or anything.



Anyway, mum told that I was like him to when in P1, also only have 1 friend. So hopefully he’ll be able to open up in future.

Definitely Useful to encourage the kids to pick up some books!

Bad May

The kids have been visiting doc like alternate day this week. Including today it's the 5th visit to the doc.

1st visit: kaylen fever
2nd visit: kaylen mouth ulcer , suspected hfmd.
3rd visit: kaylen fell and vomit , kkh
4th visit: Jared kuku bird infection
5th visit：kaylen vomit again suspected stomach flu to the kkh, Nowadays we get worried when she vomit as it's so near to previous fall. But the doc say it's already the 4th day n many hour after the most crucial 48 hr, so this time it's unlikely due to the fall.

Relieved and we went big shopping heh with the $250 taka voucher we had..

Kaylen had a great fall

Fell on 14-may on the way to new hse as she pushed the trolley v v fast. After that she vomited a few times and keep crying, so mum sent her to kkh hosp.

She had to rest in hosp for an hr then see doc again, when she got home she's all energized again

Whampoa B114: The stay

13-May Sunday-The 1st night, Jared on his own




After a busy day, we got back to mum’s place to bath..then come back again.

We got the kids to get ready in their room earlier trying to settle them..Jared got a little nervous to need to sleep alone..while Kaylen surrender early early.



So I slept on the thin mattress on the floor with Jared, and very quickly he already fall asleep.



The next morning when I went to check on him at 6:00 am he already woke up..I think he still quite nervous abt having to sleep alone

Kaylen had a bad fall that afternoon and was sent to KKH. When Jared got home, he was already quite tired..after dinner and bath, daddy, waipo and kaylen got back..



And after dinner , we quickly go back home again..Kaylen refused to follow us.



Abt 10pm I brought Jared in to sleep, in less than 5min he already fall asleep..



The 2nd night was much better, and he can sleep until 7:20am

The actual 1st night on 13May Sun...we forgot the blanket and used the bedsheet as blanket for them..heh

Very simple, and very small..especially we have king size bed and a 40inch TV in the room

We had the opening ceremony on mother's day 13-may and after that followed by house warming party with immediate family members. We had pizza and kfc.

Jared's abacus exam

He stopped abacus while we were preparing for violin exam which is last year nov?. Then mum enrolled him for grade 5, 6 exam .. Yesterday when he went, grade 6 only manage to finish 6/10 ques, grade 5 only 3 ques done..

So unless he can get all 6 correct.. Else will fail both grade..

Pretty diff especially lack of Practise after go p1

Sample test paper.. Even at home best record can only complete them in 4 mins. The exam requirement is 10ques in 3min

Whampoa B114: Jared's room ready!

Changed the bedsheet, shift in our old 'tv console' to act as bedside table and old lamp..this is the end result.

Quite satisfied. Though the curtain not so match with the bright yellow but under the night light is still quite cosy.

We hand the handover on Saturday 5-May..So now the hse is fully ours..everything is done!

We still have some problem with storage which our fridge, washing machine etc have not come yet.

 The kitchen, once we stay in certainly will get messy with lotsa of stuff on the table top.

 The living and dining..definitely smaller than Sembawang..At Sembawang, we have the study knocked down to become part of living..This hse still maintain the original layout..with the study intact. We think that having study is important as kids will have the room now..and in future the study will become Kaylen's room when she grow up.
