
Jared, KP and my pals (June&family, Mary&Family, and Chen Ling) definitely showed their greatest love for me by taking quite a few of them hehe... The texture of the pineapple tart was too dry and it actually turned out powdery...which was quite bad.
Luckily the Phoon Huat pineapple filling was really good, not too sweet or sour...so at least the tarts are still edible. I boey tahan..took another leave on 22Jan(Tue) to try out Fenying recipe as recommended by Sandy Enen's mum.
This round I cut down the baking time tremendously baking at approx 14min+2min top gril...The tart texture improves..but not as good as I expected. I think I need more trial and error with the microwave.
Baking them are pretty tricky..They turned out very very nice when it's still warm..but cold down...you can taste the actual thingee..
But I really enjoy baking these tarts a lot..very fun. Jared very keh poh, he would ask me what I'm doing ..and now he know these are ong lai tart or pineapple tart.
