Pau

There was this classmate, i think Nessa? who always get to bring pau to school.

Everytime Jared saw it, will green with envy..hehe..Actually I was pretty surprised he would like pau, cos all along he hate bread stuff.

So my mum got him a pau..this is the 2nd time he brought pau to school.

1st time I bought him, but before that he had heavy breakfast in market..so expected he won't have appetite for anything during school break.

Look at his facial expression..how happy was he looking at the pau..So he maintain look at his pau throughout class and refused to eat them..hehe.

Updates from far

Daddy finally managed to send us some pics...after much niao3 from me..hehe..Partly it was fault, we didn't managed to buy a laptop for him to bring over..so he had difficulty MSN/video conferencing with us..






Jared has been rejecting phone calls from his daddy...but suddenly last night after I chat for 30mins he asked for the phone. So far he cannot hold conversation in phone yet..he will just say ah, ee, oh...after that end with a loud and accurate Bye bye! hehe...Yesterday when asked him to say I miss you, I love you..he did that too..hee



The time difference of 15hr has also made us quite ma fan...For eg, when daddy call at 1pm Sg time yesterday it was 9pm at Utah. Then after he called, we went shopping with Jared till about 6pm +...then daddy call again at 9.30pm..He actually had to set alarm clock to wake up at 6.30am...

Talking about our experience bringing Jared out on our own...oh, its tough..heheThere were 3 of us adult, my mum, grandma and sis with Jared..We had to handle his stroller in the bus, on the stairs...and cheeky Jared who sometimes run on his own...

p/s I've added date and time of both Sing and Utah at the side of this blog so that I could keep track of daddy time and check diff easily hehe.

Arrange things in an orderly manners

I noticed Jared could do this really well lately.

He have his own way of arranging his stuff..especially his cars.

Everyone of them must be facing the correct direction, and if you tried to mess up, he will flared up..hehe. Even if I secretly change the 1 of the cars direction, he would notice it.

School Days Pic

I think I haven't mention this. Jared hates sticker...Back at JG time, he would tell teacher 不喜欢...Now similarly at Talentplus..while every other kids were so happy with the sticker he would throw it..hehe.

Notice the little botak behind Jared. I think it was Thaipusam, almost all of Jared's Indian classmate cut to bald.

When Jared first noticed. He told Waipo

他们没有头发。他们 Botak!!

and when he saw they hv that black round ink (dunno actual name) on their forehead, he said

他们有mole

America

Daddy finally left for US on 23 Jan 3am…Before that we have been trying to mentally prepared Jared for this.

For a while he liked to shout AmericaSingapore or amerisingapore around home..hehe.

When asked where is daddy going?

He would reply: Daddy 飞去America 。你在这边等。Daddy好了就回来看你。

After that it was announced that Daddy’s trip would be extended to September. So we sort of decided to follow him…subject to others factor, like visa etc

So we told Jared. We are going to America. But he always tried to avoid answering if he wants to go hehe.

Finally, today he said.
Daddy 去America 了。 你在这边等。Daddy 好了就回来带你去America。

Made with Love

It's definitely made with love! It requires more love to eat these pineapple tarts Heh!

Jared, KP and my pals (June&family, Mary&Family, and Chen Ling) definitely showed their greatest love for me by taking quite a few of them hehe... The texture of the pineapple tart was too dry and it actually turned out powdery...which was quite bad.

Luckily the Phoon Huat pineapple filling was really good, not too sweet or sour...so at least the tarts are still edible. I boey tahan..took another leave on 22Jan(Tue) to try out Fenying recipe as recommended by Sandy Enen's mum.

This round I cut down the baking time tremendously baking at approx 14min+2min top gril...The tart texture improves..but not as good as I expected. I think I need more trial and error with the microwave.

Baking them are pretty tricky..They turned out very very nice when it's still warm..but cold down...you can taste the actual thingee..

But I really enjoy baking these tarts a lot..very fun. Jared very keh poh, he would ask me what I'm doing ..and now he know these are ong lai tart or pineapple tart.

p/s: My mum still with him throughout the class leh, despite so many weeks..hehe

and the teacher set up a ranking system in class. At the end of every class, she will call out those that followed class well to take their shoes first..

Guess what? Jared is always the last few! hehe..Cos he refused to sing and dance along. He will stand by there watch them...except those songs that he really like for eg One little finger...He prefered art time more than others. Then he would sing those songs on the way home or after home...

Farewell Dinner at PuTien

I brought the family to Putien as a farewell dinner for KP. My dad paid..hehe..
I'm so glad that I found this restaurant, special dishes yet cheap prices. Their type of food are not those common one serve in restaurant...So we ordered quite a lot and eat like there's no tomorrow..hehe.

Among them we like the cold bitter guard, sweet and sour century egg, loh mee, bitter guard pan cake and home made tofu the most... Hmmm quite a lot of dishes hehe.

My Genius!

太婆 saw Jared savouring on grapes..and he eat until sooo nice..So she asked for some.


太婆 : 给我吃
Jared : 不可以
太婆 : 为什麽？
Jared :有虫.
太婆 : 有虫, 你又吃?
Jared :我要吃虫

This conversation happened on 1 day before he turn 26mth...I could only say I wanna faintz!!!...hehe..

At night after our dinner, he was given a bowl of watermelon cut fruit. He brought the bowl into tai po's room and tell her that 我要吃虫. hehe.

When asked my mum..she said she only told Jared that must let her wash the grapes first before eat else there would be worm...then Jared can transformed everything into his own conversation..hehe..and use them so appropriate too..hehe.

Couple Night

A couple night before KP fly...Took me a while to think where to go ...but finally we just went Clarke Quay..Mood is quite nice there.We had dinner at a Mexican restaurant called Tapas...



This is their famous dish, but I forgot the name..some Panae...takes about 40min to cook. But taste worst than our homemade fried rice...ex somemore $34-38+

My Verdict: Quite ex and food portion is very small, while the rice set too big...and overall, I think only mood is good. Doesn't really suit our taste..hehe.

太子上学记 Day 6

Today was bad. After the previous chaotic day, Jared almost had phobia with school. He cling on to waipo all the way and refused to get down to study even if teacher did not invite waipo to go out of class. He cried a lot too. Even refused to go wash hands on his own before break time.

Finally only started to enjoy the class when teacher singing One Little Finger song. Waipo said Jared likes this song very much. Even after back from school, he was still singing it. Strangely, waipo said he wasn't really much paying attention in school, but somehow he got learn something.

At night, I asked him to sing...As usual, he sing a bit loh...I only heard...One Little Finger, keep repeating lah..hehe.

太子上学记 Day 5

Nothing can better than to describe it as my little prince goes to school dairy...haha.

Today is Day 10 for all the kids who didn't ponteng school Hehe.. But for Jared it's only Day 5. It's also the first day Jared go to school with his uniform...since it was out of stock the previous weeks.

Teacher has finally boey tahan having all the guardian/parents stay throughout and enforced that today only kids can stay in class.

So as expected every kids cry...and right at the beginning, my mum can hear Jared shouting "外婆去那里了"...hehe

He was heard crying aloud asking for waipo for sometime...After a while, when he realised nothing can help, he turned to teacher and got her to carry him. Hehe..Smart boy isn't it? Then he stop crying for a while. Till another boy, came to teacher, said "My turn"...Jared actually tried to push him away..So finally, he shared teacher with that boy.

All the while wai po was trying to peep thru windows...Later, Jared was found holding his shoes, 1 on each hand..without crying roaming around classroom.

There were some parents who heard the crying cannot tahan, keep knocking the classroom door to make teacher open it. When the door was finally open at 10.45am...Jared was the 1st to come out again with his shoe!..That's what I said he is smart... Cos other was crying till no day no nite...and never realised door has be opened...while our Jared would dashed out to look for waipo..hehe.

My parents rewarded Jared with his favourite Toa Pa Yoh hor fun for that day's lunch..since he cried too hard..hehe.Luckily, no nitemare again and he still expresses his wish to go school.

We noticed that he seemed to like the school teacher a lot...He's the only one who will go hug teacher at the end of class nowadays....And at JG time his hug was ex like gold...During our 2 term there, he had never hug teacher, or walk over to talk to teacher at all. Nevertheless, I still think JG has helped him layed a good foundation towards school. So, even if the current school standard was so-so...since Jared like the teacher, everytime he managed to learn something.

Since 2nd day of school, he can read the whole song of 1,2 Buckle my shoe....9,10 Come again..

Home trip 7 Jan to 12 Jan

Sarikei is about an hour drives from Sibu where the airport is. So we only went back Sarikei on the next day. There's nothing much to do when back there, except sleep and eat..hehe..ok that's for me and daddy..For Jared he was on food strike all the time...The moment he sees rice or porridge he would run..So he survived on little bee hoon, noodles for breakfast, fruits and milk. He was still having diarroe on first few days..till poo few times a day..Its amazing..so much poo with so little in take.

There were nothing much to do at this town..So we only look forward for the evening outing when the sun sets...Go for a car ride, feed the fish at the park, play around at the park...

Everytime when we reach a relative's place, the adults would busy get Jared to show off his "knowledge"

He can even learnt to address ppl in very short time, Monica gor gor (aunty monica), Da gu nei, Xiao gu nei (meaning 姑婆)

This is where we held our wedding. Very lau yar restaurant..and stinks too hehe..But food is good and cheap.

Home trip 7 Jan to 12 Jan

Since we couldn't go back to daddy hometown during CNY, so we decided to go back early Jan before daddy out of town.

This is Jared's 4th trip since borned. And the previous 3 flight journey he always cry until about to tear down the aeroplane...especially during the 1st go-to flight.

But finally he got used to plane ride this round, when he got up on the seat, he would start to try to buckle up. and During about landing we would give him a lollipop. So no issue. hehe.














At JB airport, Marybrown on their swing. It's our 1st time dine on the swing cos its always full on previous trips.


See how small Jared shrink as he was having stomach flu just the day before we travelled. Having vomitting few times a day, and finally we couldn't tahan the vomitting and brought him to see a GP in the morning before we leave. Luckily the vomitting stops immediately after medicine. Make me wanna trust GP in future again..hehe..


















Air asia is always cutting down cost for their flights, so they don't use the link stairs to terminal when possible. We have to walk on our own to get inside. But I had never mind about that. Jared too, got really excited to see the air plane so nearby. hehe.

3rd day of School

Today Daddy took him for class. We came down from Sembawang since we went back on Thurs night. Oh, cannot tahan with the morning ERP..at BKE&PIE..heart pain..2 gantry.

Jared's gong and mah followed as well. But today teacher were very cautious only 1 adult allowed to follow them in. So only daddy got to go in with Jared.

Daddy said Jared sometimes did not pay attention and walk around in class. In fact, he wasn't interested to do colouring and collect sticker from teacher as well.

But he is definitely the 1st one to go hug teacher after she sang the goodbye song and 1st to collect shoes, and 1st to come out from class! hehe..

Okay..the next 1 wk no school, since we are going back to S'wak.

2nd Day of School

Today I did not take leave, so it was ah yi, tai po and wai po. But only waipo stay throughout.

Our pampered Jared as usual need to be carried till school door step! heehee..While ah yi carry his school bag.

Jared asked 阿姨是不是maid? (Is ah yi his maid?)

hehe..How smart he is right? hehe..

Similar to first day, waipo cannot be lost in sight for single moment..else he would be so scared and cry.

1st Day of School

Finally school starts! I did not do any research, and Whampoa area has very limited pre-school. So just enrolled Jared to any nearby 1 which accept kids at his age.

As usual, Jared needs to be accompanied and can never be left alone independently.

But 1st day at this school was much better than at JG. He only cried when realised wai po not around. Other than that he is a good boy.

Ah yi, tai po, wai po and me followed him to school and almost throughout on the 1st day!..Hehe..See how pampered he is being a star at home!
