Visiting LKY's tribute & Family 1.6km Run challenge

Too many people at the parliament house, we couldn't brave the heart to join the queue..so decided to bring the kids to TPY CC instead.

The moment we stepped into the hall, the fresh flowers fragant smell filled the room..I regreted instantly not bring flowers ourselves..








We all wore white t shirt for the event..and before I go, I told Kaylen that my only white t shirt had a hole on it.  She said its ok,  you must learn from Mr Lee Kuan Yew, he also wear clothes with hole.

Family 1.6km Run Challenge
Jared insisted on practising for his upcoming NAPFA test to complete  the 1.6km run in 12min.  This is the 1st time 4 of us run at a proper padang.  So it was really obvious who can do it and who can't...And I can't believe we had a runner at home!  It was Kaylen's 1st time doing a run, she started off spinning really fast with big steps and she can run at least 2.5 laps without stopping..and finally when she completed the 4 lap, we were far behind doing our 3.5laps...I think she did a total of 6 laps altogether.

So God is very fair, gave Jared the brain, while Kaylen got the physique...But at times I really wish that Jared did not have the gifted which caused him sensitive to so many things and just be a happy & simple thinking kid like Kaylen..

Term 1 Update

GEP P4 @ CHS
Jared's school was so nice to send a term 1 feedback, basically he is ok with everything except the need to speak in ALL his classes and also check for accuracy before submit for Math worksheet.

I am still forever nervous about him in this GEP prog, although I knew we are coping better for his daily work, he somehow could complete his sch work faster and lesser problem. Still there were always numerous big, small assignment...Just like the March holiday, he was swam with 13 page of oral copying and memorising, Science ERM, debate booklet, ERP book review and I also got him to draft out his portfolio for SS.  It was likely completely no rest!

And finally I made him starts his Chinese Tuition with HuaCheng@ Thomson Plaza just a week ago..as I get panic too much with his bad Chinese standard..but I felt Hua Cheng's standard might be not good enough for his P4 GEP, after looking at the material.

P1@PCPS
Kaylen of cos still doing very well for her P1..She get to continue with her class monitor task for another term. And she has been very cautious with the boys copying her worksheet...

Kaylen's Grade 2 Violin Result

She came home feeling dissapointed as everyone expected her to get a distinction and she only managed at 122 merit, which is 1 mark lower than koko for the same grade...They both took G2 at P1..but we had much a breeze time with Kaylen..

Since we didn't send her to a prestigious sch, perhaps that's the best she could achieve...The main difference is the payable exam fees and extra class difference its up to 1k compared to Jared's sch..

We knew that with limited sch resource yet she can done so well..Well Done Kaylen! We knew that you tried your best!




Her oral, sight reading scales was quite comparable to koko...She didn't distinction cos too many marks deducted for the songs..

Survived 3D2N!

Jared survived the 3D2N Malacca camp with his school!  He did much better than we expected, set his own alarm clock, pack his bag, apply emu oil..

The moment he got down the bus, even though it was very late at 7.45pm, way passed his dinner time..he told me, Mummy I enjoyed the trip!

One thing for sure, he is not so good..Getting present for everyone at home!..He only bought 1 fridge magnet, 1 binocular and 1 torchlight/laser...all things for himself, and none for Kaylen and the rest of us at home..Not even local food!

The big purchase..Our New Car!

We had finally made the decision to buy a new car ..and its the Mazda 3!
It cost $105,888. Its the final choice between Toyota Altis and Mazda3..daddy finally made the decision..it was the lowest price we could get since we started watching out car price since Dec '14.

Signed the order on Sun, 8-March-2015..expected to get the car by End Apr.

2015 CNY Day 15- The Violin Exam

Kaylen's grade 2 violin exam..

I got  a shock when teacher called to ask where were them, just 10mins before exam!  I had a brief discussion with daddy the night before and he told me he would try to be there an hour before exam..but I think both of them overslept !

And another shock came when daddy told me the gal was crying just before exam!..I already knew it might happens, as she had already cried the 1st time she did aural with teacher...

Atlas she managed to calm down when going into the exam room, and according to pianist she was playing at her usual standard...The pianist guaranteed her that she will get a distinction...Will see! ...


I bought this dress last yr after I decided to sign her up for the graded exam...it was selling at $20 ...look presentable enough for the occasion! .This photoshoot was taken after she finished her exam.

2015 CNY Day 9- The Accident!

Day 9, Fri ~6.30pm along PIE...on the slow traffic..suddenly a loud bang and strong force felt in the car..I thought for once our layar car had a tyre puncture..and ended up another car bang us from behind!

In another 2 mths our car will be due for scrap..and can't believe we spoiled the record for 10yrs free accident!

Anyway, to cut things short, we repairing the car with claim insurance from the other party..estimated 6k..

We are now using a replacement car from the workshop. The vios driven by the young chap had min damage..

2015 CNY Day 3 & 4

Day 3 was spent rushing Jared's ERM for Science, Reflection sheet for social studies and 2 ERPs as books were gonna due..terrible. While Kaylen got  do some visiting with the grands.

In the evening we went for another biggest gathering at Kee Yong's house..

Biggest crowd of visitors came to our place ever since moved in 3 yrs ago..Lunch was prepared in short time frame like 1hr for so many ppl..of cos a lot of them was reheated dish.. 90% of daddy's Sarawak relative residing in SG is here..






The children who have all grown so big..especally Jessie..she was there on my ROM, this yr she is Sec 4


We should be having 25 ppl in the house at peak..altogether there must have been 30 ppl coming to our hse that day..

2015 CNY Day 1

This is Jared's biggest achievement in the year of 2015..making his own & meimei's bed.
He is assigned to fold his own and Kaylen's blanket. He actually complained a bit why he had to mei's blanket, but I explained that Kaylen is too short to fold the blanket.  As both of them are still not using quilt, it made blanket folding really difficult. And the mattress also appeared to be heavy for Jared, which he took a while to get used to bring it up..But hey, after some weeks of practise he finally can do it all by himself..although it might take quite some time.



















Out of eagerness, I actually cut off Jared's lower eye lashes, it made his problem of eye lashes sticking to his eyes worst. So he had to be taped the whole day ..and he was ok facing relatives with his face like this!
