Short trip to Sibu/Sarikei

8-Aug to 11 Aug: National day long weekend

We had a short trip back to Sibu 4D3N for gong gong's birthday










We didn't have time for a night in Sarikei, but the kids was asking to go back, so we drove an hour there, had breakfast, get home watched Frozen from the RM3 CD...and fed the fish, and drove back to Sibu again.

We arrived at barrage around 5pm..it was pretty sunny..found a shade and started eating our food.

Apparently everyone was already hungry..





When sun sets, we moved over to the bigger grass patch.. while waiting for the jets and heli to fly past.


After a long wait, finally the heli carrying sg flag fly pass us..This time, we felt it was really near..










Too bad no fighter jets or parachute..and kids said wanna watch fireworks..so we packed and drove over to marina square.

Gong gong 70th birthday Advance Celebration

Celebrating it a month earlier, as everyone is around! Including Uncle Kee Hung who's back from Melbourne on biz trip.

 

Ice Skating -1st experience

@ Jcube the rink with 1 complimentary voucher, we paid $15 for 2hr for child entrance with skate rental.

From barely can walk and at the end of the 2hr, Jared can already skate quite well...and I quite like it, cos its really cooling at the waiting area.  Cost $3.50 to watch..

Kids1st trip on Public bus & 3rd Kidzamaze visit

Kidzamaze is always a very attractive place for the kids..they only get to go every half yearly.

So I used this as an excuse to get the kids to take bus 139 on their own to meet me at TPY interchange...and it was a success! When I saw them, Kaylen was waiting at the ananas cafe, while Jared was at near the escalator to MRT. They are both so far apart!..and I asked them if they talked or scared in the bus..they both did not talk at all...

At the airport waiting for our flight home, and on my hand is the eagle boy pizza..

Everytime we see eagle boy, it reminded us of our old and poor time...When we don't have $, we will order this pizza. But now its so expensive 1 single portion cost AUD7.95

Kids was mumbling diamond farm everyday till we came to Caversham Wildlife Park. This place won over the farm stay by the no. of kangaroos they owned!
They had a great time feeding the kangaroos.

It's so cute of her who wrote non stop for 4 pages..And this stage, Jared could not spell a single word yet..but she can write and write with min help although the writing of bad standard. But I appreciate her work..Well done Kaylen!
