I celebrated my 21st birthday there. I'm so glad that I was back there again to celebrate my 39th birthday.
Lake Tekapo...my favourite destination from my 1st trip..I was mesmerised by the turqoise blue water back then, and decided to spend a night there ...that time the motel we rented only cost NZD88 per night..and there wasn't any lupine..Now I had to pay NZD700 for 2 nights there..and the water is already turning darker shade of blues..But still we had a great time there, with the super nice accomodation...
Mount John Observatory..almost dampen by the rain, but daddy insisted to make a trip up the mountain...and we bumped into this rainbow! OMG...I felt like I just made a trip to heaven with scenary like this..

Bumping into snow during summer was even a miracle...This was at Mt Cook hooker valley walk..But we didn't finish the track..covered probaly 8km/10km...due to the big snow and strong wind..it was getting way too cold after the 3rd suspension bridge. Nevertheless, it was a good walk, and it was also the 1st ever snow experience for my parents and kids.

1st time I got drunk over this Margarita for couple pre-celebration of my birthday in Queenstown on 1-Dec..and I didn't drink the whole glass probaly only 1/3 of it...At the end of the dinner, my head was spinning, and I had to lay my head on the table to rest for a while..and then finally get back to our apartment next door...I vomitted the whole NZD90 dinner after that. Since last year at Mel, I like to order some cocktail for my birthday..but this experience was so lousy..
Wanaka Puzzling World...we had to go back to this place even though it was overpriced...cos we did it 18yrs ago!
Can't recall much on Queenstown..but I do remember this kiwi..I certainly has taken pic with it before..

1st heli experience to go back to the place where I spent my 21st birthday..exploring the glacier..18yrs on, the glacier can only be accessed by heli as it has receded so much.

Wefie at Denny's Christchurch for supper..we were back at the 1st ever restaurant we dined after I got off the flight 18yrs ago..so glad it stayed this long...
We went back again the next day..emphasizing to the kids that the meaning of this restaurant..and Jared has to spoil it by asking daddy, why he never bring me to a chinese restaurant instead so then they don't have to dine in a western restaurant..haha..
