This year we finally got our Xmas tree..We tend to be overseas during Xmas, or really late in planning.  This year I ordered the tree from Qoo10..It was great savings at $80+ we got a 1.8m tree that came with all the deco.







In the evening, we went to Ah yi house for Xmas Celebration

Only daddy and me went out to buy some supplements from Chemist..a last few pics of the streets of Mel.


Lunch for us is some mexican..cos again I really like mexican tacos and burritos while kids had theirs at Paparich again.

Melbourne 2015 Day 10 Dec 6

Today AM we were free from kids..and it's time to do major fruit shopping at Queen Victoria market to bring home. And savour my much missed fresh oyster.  After the major missed at Hardware Societe, we did not go purposely look for restaurant to have breakfast.  We just find one decent place near QV market...and happened to have really good breakfast


As we were there very early, to our surprise, all stuff prices have almost doubled.  Still we had to buy some home, so still get 2kg of cherry, 4 mangos, apricots and peaches home..


Here's my feast $14 for a dozen of oyster..daddy helped with 3 of them...Yum yum

Hung's house..I visited 14yrs ago, but just didn't have any impression at all.  Kids took bus and train, approx 1hr to the city to meet us

We met the kids and grands back at the apartment, and then walked to next street Chinatown for dimsum lunch with uncle Terry. After that we visited his place.  14yrs ago we stayed at his place when we visit Mel.




More shopping at target after Uncle Terry's house..then it was Viet dinner.  I'm hooked on Viet vermicilli salad..just like how refresh it tasted.

It's my 38th Birthday!!

We took quite a walk to Hardware Society for breakfast, Mel's most famous breakfast place







Definitely overated..

After breakfast, we went to meet Hung, and the grands at Glen Waverly..




Kaylen got me this slipper as my birthday present..how sweet




Kids staycation..they totaly enjoyed the home cooked meal and the night stay



While daddy and me visited the Little Italy Lygon Street


So much food..cos we didnt know what is chicken parma, and it is the local's Fri night favourite, since it was so cheap $14, we ordered it, together with pasta and pizza. Gosh too much food.  Also tried their cocktail..nice..Dinner at this universal restaurant only cost $50+...that's why it has long long q in them

Melbourne 2015 Day 8 Dec 4 Part 2

As we were rushing to return to Melbourne city, we had to forgo revisit Twelth Apostles..and left the area at 10am for strawberry picking.






These strawberry were really sweet and juicy, we picked 1kg, and I must have eaten at least 500g to 1kg there..heh



Then we had our lunch at Distilled Shed...which was really good. They also serve Timboon ice cream..which was also very very good




About 3hr plus drive, we arrived back at Southern Cross Station to return our car to Europcar just 3mins before its closing.  Spent sometime jam in the city and trying to find the gas station..

Then we took our luggage and met our Airbnb owners at Melbourne Central Station.

Our apartment for the next 3 days..











Kids missed Chinese food so so much after so long..nothing beats the Good ole chicken rice and laksa..Paparich restaurant

Celebrated my birthday a day earlier with the kids cos they were going to have a staycation at Hung's place the next day.

From the weather forecast, today had clear bright sky..

Kids had a good time with the visitors at our cabin






By 8am I can see that all the cloud are cleared...So we started our journey back to the rock area...








Can see how blue the sky..but it also meant very hot day.
