Perth Trip 5-12 June Day 2 Part 2 [Donnybrook-Manjimup]

Started the road trip as planned at 9am.. It was a long journey to Donnybrook abt 210km, 2.5hr away for the apple picking experience.  When we arrived at Donnybrook it was almost lunch time, having lost a few times trying to find the apple farm, we had no choice to stop by at the apple fun park for lunch. There was a few cafe selling food there.

The kids and folks were hungry, so we took a toilet break and lunch break at apple fun park






After lunch, we continued the journey to find the spring valley farm..The host Diana, could still remembered that I wrote to her by email..and we were first brought to



























our apples to bring home!

After that we took another hour ride to Diamond forest Cottages, where we spent 2 nights there for the farm stay. The farm stay was homely and clean.

Perth Trip 5-12 June Day 2 [Perth-Donnybrook-Manjimup]

We booked a car from bayswater at Adelaide TCE in Perth City..so daddy and me took a bus early in the morning to get to town to pick up the car. We managed to reach earlier for a nice, relaxing breakfast in the city.

The cheapest and best car rental in perth, bayswater

The car: Toyota Tarago 7 seater MPV was so new, keyless and much better than our old honda back home..It is the best decision  I have made to cancel the Hyudai sedan car with Europcar, so that we can have such a wonderful trip in this MPV. Total cost include insurance for  a week use is about AUD$567 with $50 max coverage..best deal in town.

Perth Trip 5-12 June Day 1 [Singapore-Perth]

5-June 2014

The long awaited Perth trip, I've been planning for this trip for 2 yrs!...and everyone was so excited! We took bus/MRT to the airport to realise that I got the timing wrong, and we had no time for proper lunch before boarding the flight.

Arrived at Perth at 5.30pm, tabao our dinner from red rooster, but everybody was so hungry that they started eating.

Everything is good here, except the coffee..We not used to the not so hot pattern coffee..

But the environment is certainly superb..

Jared's 1st recital with Teacher Joy

For this recital, he must have practised the song for half a year..and after the SA1 exam it was like almost everyday. When we found out that we had to pay $90 for the recital, immediately we regretted..but had to go ahead as promised teacher to take part..

The recital was held at Yong Siew Toh Conservatory at NUS..rehearsal was at 1.30pm and actual concert 4.30pm

End up we enjoyed it..part of the reason should be almost every performer made some mistake, so it wasn't that stressful to produce a flawless piece. ..

Its important for a musician to have a chance to perform..I'm glad he did very well..and think he should take part every yr

Actual concert, the glitch at the beginning was due to me accidentally press pause. He almost play a perfect song..

TRBK 2014 Sports day

Jared's P3 SA1 result

Had meet the parents session with Chinese and English teachers today. And English teacher pointed out he is still very reserve in class, refused to open up and share with class.  To improve his English compo, he need to elaborate more..

He did very very well for Chinese this term, our hard work really paid off!
